Will the net work on a folding utility table?

Hi there, yes it will! The net will clamp on to any table that is 2" thick or less. Have fun playing!

If the table is thicker than 2 inches, can you just set it on table or will it fall over?

It will not work on a table thicker than 2". No way will it just stand by itself and I haven't figured out any other solution. Our vacation place table is too thick and so we haven't been able to use it there. Wish I could think of a solution because in every other way this is great fun

What if the lip on our table is only 3/8 inch? Is that enough?

Yes. We have used it on many different type tables including our camp table. Great buy for the grand kids but grandma can kick it too!

How thick is the foot on the table clamp on the bottom side of the table. s

The pull-down foot fits onto our dining tabletop which is about 3/4 inch thick. The packaging says the clamp can fit onto up to 2” table. Hope this answers your question
