Gletscher Eis

There is something about these. Sooo good. Better than any US candy. I can only describe the flavour as "mentholated apple". If that makes any sense...

I bought my first bag on a whim while at a state fair from a German Culture booth. The packaging caught my eye & because 'Ice/Eis' is in the name I thought it might be minty. They melt nicely & are a delicious mint with a hint of fruit. They have a pleasant menthol sensation. I buy multiple bags at a time. Great stuff!

When my grandmother was younger she used to travel back to Germany to visit family 2-3 times per year, and I couldn’t wait to indulge in the sweet treats she used to bring back! These were always my absolute favorite hard candies. A mix of fruity and minty, that is almost indescribable to anyone who hasn’t tasted them.

This candy is exactly like I remember as a child.
