Great Product
Don't listen to the moaners - the packaging is a little difficult but that is because its a difficult thing to pack. They come in two sections. each half is pushed up inside the other - stacking fashion. To separate, put a piece of wood through the bottom horizontals of the inner half and gently wiggle the "outer" half up and off. Be gentle! Many thanks they look great. being so wonderfully high - I set the feet in mini concrete footing and they are really sturdy - great covered in fairy lights :)

Attractive feature
These look sturdy and should last. Look nicer than canes for my sweet peas. However the screws have already rusted and don’t look attractive against the coated black frame. A touch of Hammerite will be required I think in the autumn before they are put away- a pity.

Look good but not easy separate, from being packed
I haven't erected these yet as, once I got them out of the packaging and worked out how to separate them...it was too late. Yes they are well wedged together, bottom fed into the other bottom, likewise the tops are packed the same way. Once I took all the cable ties off and the bright red ribbon (?) I tried and tried, to separate them. I may be a 64 year old woman but I'm not made of fairy dust and my lifetime of manual work did not benefit me, in separating these two metal frames. I gave up, thinking I was destined to wait until the end of lockdown, then get my strapping son to do the separation. I tackled the two tops - success! They were willing to be separated. I was now having a bit of a lady strop and picked up the two bottom sections, then dropped them on the floor, in frustration. Result! They didn't like that and flew apart. Fortunately I have old carpet on my garage floor. Now I need to assemble, but that looks straight forward...I hope!

Best Obelisks We've Found!!!
We had some of those tubular metal dome-topped obelisks but they rusted out very quickly. When assembling them it was impossible to fit the legs and then lift them up as the legs dropped off due to the lack of 4 grubscrews so they were not very good at all. These on the other hand are brilliant!!! A lot more money but you really do get what you pay for! Sturdy steel construction, two pieces that go together with four bolts and they are done! Far less intrusive and clunky than the other type and very elegant. The only thing that could improve them would be to supply ground stakes. We bought a pack of four sturdy camping stakes and put them on two sides to stop them taking off when covered in vegetation.

Difficulty in separating the pair resulting in damaging one of them
I liked the dimensions of the items. Although the 'feet' that are placed into the soil could be longer. I've had to secure them with tent pegs. The biggest problem is separating them as they are sold in pairs. This was mentioned in other customers reviews. The second set I purchased were even more difficult than the first and as a result a piece has snapped off. The soldering coudve been more robust. The packaging doesn't protect the 'feet' as they protrude through it and as you can see one has arrived bent.I waited in for the delivery which was delayed. I ordered 2 sets and they arrived on different days. This may have been due to the microsoft outage at the time so not perhaps the seller's fault. Very frustrating.I like them but sadly wouldn't purchase again. The seller has been in contact. They have apologised and have offered a resolution to the issue regarding the damaged item. The after sales service has been positive.

So easy to assemble
I am delighted with these, they were very well packaged. As they came in two parts it was simple to put them together. I needed something to offset my arch and these are just perfect

Bit pricey but very well made
These are very well made with a robust protective coating I can foresee lasting a good few years. Ignore negative reviews about difficulty removing them from packaging. It's really sad to read that anyone struggled with this, let alone got hot under the collar enough to bother to write about it. Really couldn't be simpler given a modicum of common sense!Unless your garden is very sheltered, I would recommend getting yourself some of those rebar "tent pegs" as by the time your plants have grown up these things and effectively become a sail, even a moderately high wind will topple them with out more support.
