Great shoes for Sumo or standard deadlift.
I purchased these shoes a size smaller than what I normally wear and they fit me great. I primarily purchased these shoes for sumo deadlifting but I also wear them for standard deadlifts and squats on occasion.Pro: Reinforced side material feels strong when "Spreading the floor" Ultra flat and hard sole Good overall construction Shipping was fast (2days)Cons: Velcro straps feel cheap and provide minimal retention Shoe is uncomfortable outside of the gym (to be expected)Conclusion: The SABO Deadlift shoe really inspires confidence when attempting heavy sumo deadlifts because of the extra side material and the Hard, flat sole. I believe the SABO's can preform squats just fine, but there are better dedicated options such as the Adidas Adipower or the Nike Romaleo. I hope this helps!

Amazing shoe - research your correct shoe size!
Love the shoe. Russian sizes are a bit different as they go by the half-size. I'm an 11 so I have to get this 44RUS (which is between 11 and 11.5). It fits more like an 11.5, but still does the trick! Great shoe. Don't wear these on the way to the gym as the soles are (expectedly) very thin at the heal. I've never owned deadlifting shoes from another company but these are solid for deadlifting of all kinds, rack-pulls, bent-over-rows and best of all, squats!

Thinking about getting these? Do it! My favorite shoe.
I've been deadlifting conventional and sumo for over a year without shoes. The gym managers would constantly complain and ask me not to but I would sneak around them. I almost dropped a plate on my bare feet too. One day I slipped a bit on my sumo and hurt my butt from the twerk and was a bit worried about going barefoot since. Chucks were not cutting it for me. Needless to say, the big lifters in my gym were wearing these sabo shoes. After the first day with my sabo shoes I immediately hit a p.r. on conventional after being at a plateau for a while. Additionally, I think they are really cute.Pros: Excellent grip.Fits exactly as expected. I am a girl so I got one size smaller than my normal women's shoe size.I feel when I laced my shoes the way I do for running, my weak ankles had a lot of support. If you feel the shoe isnt supportive enough around the ankle, try changing the way you lace them. The additional straps are snug and tight.Cons: The laces are definitely short. I have narrow feet and was able to tie a small bow. Someone with wide feet or thick ankles should purchase some laces to swap out.

Pretty good
This is the first pair of lifting shoes that I've ever gotten. They fit well and I like to wear these vs. my running/gym shoes since I do a lot of lifting like squats and deadlifts in my crossfit class. They're not perfect though. When I'm doing something like double unders the velcro tends to come undone and these are definitely not to be used with something like rope climbs or sled pushes. The soles do not grip well so when I did sled pushes, my feet were sliding and the soles ripped up a bit. They weren't designed for that so I can't dock these since I was not using them as intended and I have since stopped using these for sled pushes. I would assume that ropes would rip them up too when coming down (I haven't tried it myself). However, I would still expect the stitches to hold up when doing something like double unders, burpees, front squats.... I found that on one of the shoes the stitches for the velcro have broken and is unravelling so now I need to go get them repaired.Other than that these shoes are good. I just wish they would withstand a bit more since I don't like having to stop and change shoes in the middle of class (like when switching from part A to part B, where I might be doing deadlifts or squat cleans then burpees then pull ups).

SABO Deadlift Shoes (41 RUS / 9 US, White)
I love these shoes for my sumo deadlifts. They have helped my bare feet from slipping on the mat as has happened previously. Great floor feel and the mid-foot straps would help someone with arch issues. My feet do not slide inside the shoe and the shoes do not roll outward (generally seen on people with running or 'training' type shoes.) For conventional I still go barefoot as I can't get any more connected to the ground than that.A side note: I have used these shoes with success for KB swings and squats. My feet do slip when I bench, so I went back to my Vans for this lift.

I have seen plenty of others who like to use these shoes and I would agree with ...
Straps need to be longer.I followed the sizing guide and consulted reviews from others. The shoe still ran a bit small. It might be because my feet is a little wide. I still prefer Mark Bell's power shoe. That's just me though, I have seen plenty of others who like to use these shoes and I would agree with them if the toe box was a little bigger on these.

Great, secure fit for deadlifting
Great deadlift shoes! The velcro straps help to secure the foot. Had issues in sizing due to Russian sizing but after a pair came in had no issues contacting the company to exchange for correct size. They are awesome! Look great & seem very quality.

You need deadlift shoes!
Russian size 43 is equal to US 10.5 according to the chart. I wear US size 10 and the 43 is a perfect fit. This is a lot of fine craftsmanship for only 90 bucks.

Tough
If you are deadlifting over 315 I would say these will significantly improve the comfort of your arch. Either go barefoot or buy some nice DL shoes.

Other than that it was a good buy!
Size was a little smaller than expected. They run smaller. Other than that it was a good buy!

You’re better off with Wrestling Shoes
I was very excited to start deadlift in these - unfortunately IMHO they have subpar arch and heel support.

Great Deadlifing Shoe - if it turns out to be durable. Very Highly Recommended.
Fits just right and as expected. Nearly perfect function.Pros: Very stable platform and thin sole. Good grip on lifting surface. Comfortable and secure.
