They work good they're pretty lightweight but thought it was going to be a little bit easier to slide for the locking mechanism but they definitely do work the adjustment capability is just where I thought it was actually a sliding bar on the side. But very easy to install, and you definitely can't open the window so it's definitely secure and it has pretty good length

I bought these for my daughters new townhome because she's at home alone sometimes and she uses them in her windows downstairs and sliding glass door.
