The most basic expectation from a sponge is that it absorb water!! These do not. Water is pushed around but not a drop is removed!!! It should be a crime to allow such mislabeling as this.

I had to replace a Fill Valve and Flapper in one of our toilet cisterns. I knew from experience that emptying the tank is important, but it takes more than shutting off the water and draining it. Large, absorbent sponges are important tools for this type of job, and the sponges were ideal! However, note that they arrive from Amazon in an almost flat package. I was expecting the sponges to arrive, but when it turned up, I couldn't believe it contained 2 large sponges. But it did – it just took them a few minutes outside the packaging to grow to their normal size!

The sponges were the perfect size for my needs.
