Naze32 Rev6 10DOF Version Flight Controller Board CleanFlight Firmware for Mini FPV QAV250 250

The seller "FPVDrone", is responsive to any problems you might have.When I pointed out the support for F1 based flight controllers was dropped from recent versions of Cleanflight and Betaflight he was good enough to offer to send me an F3 based flight controller. The replacement just arrived from China. I powered it up and it works.Here are the details.....All flight controllers use an STM32Fxxx chip as their CPU. The first controllers used the "F1" chip then later ones used F3, F4 and now a very few are using F7. The firmware on these controllers gets update frequently. As of maybe a year ago recent versions of Cleanflight and Betaflight firmware no longer support the older F1 chips. If you have an F1 based flight controller you need to use older versions of the firmware. These are still available and Google will find them. But using older firmware means you don't get the latest features.In the description of this product it clearly reads "Modern 32-bit processor (STM32F103)" I should have noticed this was an "F1" processor. But I did not notice. When I complained to the seller he offered to send me a free replacement F3 based flight controller. He did not need to do that. It was my fault for not noticing the "F103" in the description, but still he sent a replacement.I would buy from this seller again.Now back to the productThe Naze 32 10DOF is exactly as described. This 10DOF variant has a compass and altimeter installed and the Naze32 has been around long enough that MANY people in the on-line forums know how to use this and can offer advice. It uses the STM32F103 processor. I have tested this all in flight using a 5 inch FPV drone. It works well and does what you'd expect from a F1 based 10DOF controller. I was able to load Cleanflight 1.14.xx (but not later versions) onto this flight controller.The replacement flight controller (they sent me an "SP Racing F3 Acro" type) also works well but is different. The newer firmware allows easier PID tuning and is better for FPV racing while the 10 DOF type is better for photography and general use.

I bought hooked it up and try to plug it in the cleanflight while jumped but nothing worked so I Tried the second one I hooked up still nothing on cleanflight!??!

I am currently taking a Mechanical Engineering elective in which we have to build a drone. It might have been bad luck, but the first flight controller we purchased was absolute garbage (beware the betaflight f4). Purchased this one to replace it. This flight controller comes with the servo header pins in both straight and right angle configurations, which was nice and made it easy to run wires for the quadcopter and keep them clean.LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES!!!!This board does NOT have a built in PDB and CANNOT handle and 11V input. We were not paying attention to this and soldered the power wires to the 11V output of the PDB and fried the board instantly. Thankfully it did not damage anything else. We had to order a second flight controller, and this time we paid attention to our voltages and polarity and the installation went smoothly. When setting up the flight controller we used the cleanflight software and it worked well. I hear that Betaflight software will also work, but I can only vouch for cleanflight. We have been able to get the flight controller to receive PWM inputs from our Spektrum AR620 and tested the quadcopter and it seems to be functioning properly thus far. I will update the review if anything changes.

I never got a flight up with this board. I had to Google instructions and even than it only connected to clean flight once and now it will not connect no matter what I do

DO NOT BUY THIS. IT WILL NOT WORK. NO MATTER IF YOU RE-FLASH 1000 TIMES YOU WILL NEVER GET THIS BOARD TO WORK.

I bought two of these flight controllers for my Unmanned Aerial Systems class that I teach. One of them worked perfectly, and the other never worked. It would not connect to the bootloader. After doing a bit of research, I found a way to "short" the bootloader, which helped to have clean flight recognize the board. But even with that, it would never connect to any configurator programs. I contacted the seller and received a quick response and replacement of the controller. Rest assured that any wrongs will be rectified by this company.

I spent a few hours trying to get it to work using various methods and had no success.

Replaced the failed board on my floureon 250. Works well. Getting outdaded found this out when I bought new escs. Naze32 can't run blheli32. Not the boards fault. Hobby is just moving that fast.
