Bought this to prep for our inventory that was coming up. This scanner is probably the best scanner I have used. The range on it is absolutely amazing. It scans bar codes as well as QR codes and I haven’t gotten an error yet. Prepped an entire bookstore with it and the battery lasted an entire 8 hour shift. The only improvement that I think could be made it having a digital battery monitor. It does have a barcode you can scan and it will tell you the batter level on your spreadsheet or wherever you are scanning information to. But that can get a little annoying since you have to scan it and then erase the info from your spreadsheet. But again this is a small problem and wouldn’t prevent me from buying another one. It seems durable because I accidentally knocked it off of the counter and it didn’t not break. Definitely recommend if you have a lot of scanning to do.

Bought this a year or so ago, worked okay for one or two codes here and there but today is the first time I tried to use it for bulk scanning. Wasted the morning trying to scan in several boxes of laptops, only to have to do it again and again before finally giving up. The scanner does not scan the bar code that it’s aimed at, it insists on scanning the code above or below it. What’s the point of using a red target dot if the scanner is going to ignore it? I grabbed another scanner that uses a target bar and it worked flawlessly. Threw it in the trash because it is trash. I also tried to find the programming codes to remove the prefix S but the codes did not work. Waste of money.

Upon receiving this I was excited about how fast and accurate it captured every 1D and 2D codes I could find around my house. I took it to work the next day for the real test and it failed. The items I need to scan are small electronics what have factory laser etched mini QR codes for their serial numbers. Syncing the device to my computer went quickly. I grabbed a few of the devices in my inventory and started scanning. I have found that it preferred printed codes on a white background. The items that are engraved on black or yellow plastic failed to read all together.

We bought 10 of these. They all worked great. After about a year they started breaking 1 by 1. Anytime we try and scan something it beeps three times. I've looked in the manual and tried resetting default settings but I can't fix it. We've had about 4 of them give out now with the same issue. If someone can provide a solution, I would greatly appreciate it. If not, these will all be going in the trash and we'll be buying a different model.

I purchased this for use in an asset tracking system software for my business to scan the asset tags to assign equipment to people to help cut down on theft and loss. This scanner is fairly accurate on just about every kind of barcode I have thrown at it. The Features that come with this thing like vibration to run in silent mode is awesome and unexpected as this is far less expensive than a name brand like symbol, zebra or Honeywell, and it came at 1/10th the price for one that's very close by zebra, the only difference I can notice is that this uses a square red pattern to read barcodes, the zebra reads with an ultra wide and bright red bar to scan codes. This does lead to a drop in accuracy compared to the name brand units, but it isn't bad at all, I would say it has an accuracy of about 95% but maybe its just me getting used to how it works. It's really durable as I have dropped it on accident several times and it took no damage and kept working. I will post updates as this unit ages but for now fantastic product! Go Alacrity!

There is no tech support for this device. Each unanswered message means you're on your own. Eight devices were acquired & deployed: 1 returned as nonfunctioning. These devices are a third the cost of the name brand that comes with technical support and an English-language website. The seller of this device offers a website in an Asian language only. The rechanging feature is unpredictable. Leaving it attached to a power source overnight is no guarantee that it will be at 100% in the morning. Even with light-duty uses (2 scans per day), the battery can easily go down to 90%. The behavior of the scanner is odd too. It can take five agonizing seconds for the scanner to wake up. Our operators are adapting, but it's a learning curve. In a retail space, clerks and customers would become frustrated with the dubious battery and odd scanning behavior.

You get what you pay for It is not super fast. It does have trouble reading small QR codes I'm sure if you pay way way more than you'll have a device that's much faster and reads better. The standby mode can get annoying. I'm sure the is a way to change it. But it reconnects fast enough for what I use it for. If you have a big business where you'll be doing a lot of inventory. If definitely say buy a well known scanner. But if you're okay with slower response and hit and miss on how fast it can scan certain barcodes, then this one will work just enough. Gets the job done
