For Firefly fans, this is a resurrection
When I think of the stories in this collection, they rise right up there with episodes of the tv show and can sometimes be hard to differentiate they match in tone and energy so well. Some of the art is a little weirder than others and it can be difficult to understand what is happening in a frame sometimes if you aren’t an experienced comic book reader. But wow, this is an extraordinary experience for someone who hasn’t seen new firefly content in many years. Definitely worth adding to your comic book/firefly collection

Great for fans of the show
This was a really fun read if you’re a fan of the show (Firefly) and the movie (Serenity). The stories basically pick up where the show left off. It’s much like what you would expect if the show had gotten another season. The art works well enough. It’s always tough for artists when they have to draw characters based on real people who are really familiar to us. This was a decent effort to draw the actors who played these characters. The rest of the art is very good for a sci fi story. You’ll enjoy this volume if you loved the show and enjoy comics. If you aren’t really into comics, then it may not really be for you but it’s still probably worth a shot. It really does feel just like the show. If you haven’t watched the show, you may not really get the best parts of this book so you’d be better off watching the show first and then reading this. There’s also a second volume available that’s also fun for show fans and takes the post-Serenity story a little further.

Get this if you love Firefly and Serenity
Seriously, if you're a fan of the series, get this. It's a huge, high quality book with every Dark Horse comic packed lovingly inside. The cover is a high quality design capable of handling multiple readings without cracking despite the high page count. Pages are high quality glossy paper with exceptional color and print quality. All in all it is a great collection of stories about the crew of the Serenity during the time of the show, between the show and the movie, and after the movie. It's a must buy for any fan!

Artwork varies
Some I like more than others and not necessarily because one artist could make the characters look like the actors. The dialog does enough to make the voices ring in my head. I like an expressionist style well enough. One story looked a little more hastily drawn than the others.Taken altogether, the collection has good value. I especially appreciated Shepherd Book's back story--You remember that last dialog between him & the captain in the movie, right? The story we would never know? I read that one backwards & forwards a few times. Satisfying.I'd read Patton Oswalt's bittersweet "Float Out" before, but it was good to read again in sequence with the others. After some time to digest & maybe read the Shepherd's story again, I will be ready for the next volume.

Amazing
I loved Firefly. still do. course i didnt even see it til after it were cancelled, which somehow seemed to fit - loving a thing thats already gone. i sort of found a place with it, kept it alive in me and had a good laugh with those who did the same. we all kinda made our peace with watching the Serenity rust in space.this, to me anyway, is just that story come alive again and reached out from its corners.

More Firefly, but a bit disjointed
I was excited for more Firefly stories, but I found the arcs in this to be a bit disjointed. I'd still rather have them all in one volume than in separate comics, but a bit more delineation where one ends and the next begins would be nice so I don't spend a page trying to figure out what is going on with the plot before realizing things wrapped up and moved on.

Arrives with a huge postage-due charge.
Book was in decent condition but part of the cost is hidden by under-paying the postage. We had to pay the post office a large fee before this was handed over.
