Induction cooking is great! Wiring was simple. So glad i bought it.
This unit replaced a 20 year old Viking 6 burner gas cooktop. I was lucky to have a 50amp electric circuit already in the kitchen. Most of my cookware was induction compatible. The unit will let you know right away when you try to cook. It will give you an error. this think boils water insanely fast. Made tea, pasta, ramen in half the time vs gas. Temp change is instant just like gas is. There is little to no excess heat. Only the pan gets hot. Pot handles are cold to the touch. I don't even need to use pot holders to strain water anymore. Cleanup is quick and easy with a vinegar/water spray. To ensure a long term scratch free experience I ordered a few small induction pads that go between the pot and stovetop with no performance loss or issues. Will check back in in 6 months.

Not for Cooks --- Pots boil over at lowest setting ---- Useless!!!!!
If you love creating boiling over messes on your cooking surface and pots this Cooktop is for you!I've done a little bit of cooking in my 73 years and won't settle for crap that doesn't work. Most of my cookware is All-Clad and knifes are Henckels. Bought a new set of All-Clad induction cookware to go along with this induction cooktop, made sure that the cooktop was properly wired etc. and completely read the User Manual. This has been my first induction cooktop experience and it does heat things faster than gas or old stile electric. It does draw more electricity and you will most likely need to upgrade your wiring etc. This unit has not exhaust system and they are very expensive. Will try replacing with an expensive induction unit and will replace that with natural gas if problem isn't solved.

Induction stove is the best on the market.
I love this cooktop. I love to use an induction stovetop. Low heat is best and doesn't use much electricity. I have been cooking with one since 2012, and it is the only way to cook. The quality of this one is great, and it is only 2800 watts. I was afraid it would not meet the standard, but I cannot tell the difference between this one and the 3700-watt one. In fact, this one gets hotter faster, so I have to start the temperature at 3/4 power. This one also has knobs which I like better than the touch control one. Boil water for 90 seconds. Great product.

Great Value, Great Performance
My new (used) Amazon vevor cooktop works great! I got it for only 200 before tax and I think it has a great value for that price. It’s far easier to clean and very elegant compared to the resistive electric coil type cooktop I had before. I have no issues with pots “boiling over” as others have mentioned. Like any new cooking surface, it takes some practice to get acquainted with the cooking power. I do find that the stove is very responsive to changes in setting. I’ve had no issues with cookware compatibility; I do find that cast iron seems to heat most evenly and quickly. This induction stove does make some noise at higher power, and I think this varies based on the cookware used too. Overall just something to get used to. Last thing I’ll mention is that the knobs are nice and metal! Very elegant at the price point. I wish someone would make a cooktop that has a facial on the cabinet-front with knobs there so that the knobs are out of the way when cleaning, the only one on the market now is 3500. Overall I do recommend this cooktop and I would not hesitate to purchase again for projects on a budget. Four stars because of modifications needed in my case for the venting. I wish there were vents all the way around and that blocking some was allowed. I had to route a groove under the countertop to expose the vents.

Good
Just bought this and had it installed a few days ago. I've noticed that my pots will work but not my pans. I did test them to see if they were magnetic and they are because at first I didn't know. Never had a conduction cooktop before. I agree that the heating is not consistent. A specific pot that I had used for 2 days in a row heated fine and I'm using the same one and it's either not working or it is heating up quickly or it takes forever or it works when it wants to. I want to love this so badly because it was affordable and I love the look of it. But I'm debating on returning it. I'll give this another try. I may have to buy new pots and pans to make sure but I really dont want to do that. I'll change my review later and see how it goes.Update:I did have to buy a new pan and pot to make sure what was going on because the pot I had was not working anymore and the pan I had im assuming it was bent a weird way or just not making a good connection with the cooktop. Anyhow it did work. Not sure what happened with the ones that I had but it was not working and I gave up using mine. The only downside is the numbers for the knobs are too small. Only saying that because my daughter can't read the tiny numbers when I ask her to turn it on to a specific setting. But it's good it does the job. Been cooking on it and haven't had any issues as of yet other than what I originally posted, but that's all good now and taken care of.
