Super sturdy and functional. Attractive design, but could be improved. Not everyone has a covered porch, umbrella, or overhang/awning.Lid edge allows rain water to seep into covered ashtray. We’ve had a rainy week, and every day we’ve had to dump out an offensive brown liquid. If you don’t have an overhang of some kind, bring inside during rain to avoid this issue.

Just be aware that it is not large. It is about normal ashtray size with a lid.It has a piece in center inside for putting out butts. This is nice!Mine has a minor defect in the finish. That white spot. Imagine it will look worn in no time.Might want more than one depending on how many ashtrays you need. Wish I got more than one. But not likely to buy this again.

I love the reservoir in the middle, it's perfect for putting out cigarettes without the ashes blowing everywhere. I feel much safer with that, no stray ashes trying to light other cigarettes or something else on fire. For me, the durability only comes into play for the shipping, as I'm not one to throw around the ash tray on purpose. It is ceramic, so it's only going to be so durable. When it arrived, it appeared to be packaged well, but somehow part of the reservoir had chipped off. There was a paper inside the package to contact them for a replacement if it had been damaged during shipping, so that was nice. I just didn't feel like going through the hassle because it was such a small piece that didn't affect it's usage. But I did appreciate them offering to replace it. The only thing is that I wish it was bigger, so I wouldn't have to empty it so often, but that's really just my laziness.

It's smaller than you expect but works perfectly on my patio for cigars.

The photos in the add make this appear much bigger than it really is. Actually started laughing at how small it was when I opened the package.... seems to be sturdy, and serves the purpose.

My husband is a sometimes-smoker, and really hated the idea of getting an ash tray because I think it made him feel like the habit was too permanent... but then he was using empty soda cans for an ash tray, and I couldn't stand looking at that on our porch. So I got this little ashtray as a compromise, because it's simple and pretty, and doesn't look like an ash tray at first glance. He likes it because it has a little resting area in the center, so you can smoke a few puffs of the cigarette, and then leave the rest resting there to finish later... so he's actually smoking a bit less! Anyway, we're both happy with the purchase, and it looks very unobtrusive on our outdoor coffee table.

I bought 2 of these for guests to smoke on my patio. They’re ashtrays, they work as they should. What I do like is that I don’t have to look at dirty ashtrays when not in use. The lid feature is great and I don’t have to deal with dirty ‘butt cans’.
