Works
The concrete contractors walked all over the rebar. These things sprang back up to keep the rebar off the vapor barrier.

Better than concrete dobie
These work well for 3/8" rebar too. Very easy to use.

These are them!
These are the rebar chairs. They are the best height for 4 or 6" pads. They are the most secure and stable. Believe me.....I spent way too much time trying to find the right rebar chairs. Once I got these, I took everything else back. They've got it figured out... And only them.

Worked as advertised
I chose these based mainly on price. I setup a 10x10 foot grid as a basis for securing pex tubing for radiant heating with a solar heater. With 3/8" rebar that I used, the connection to the chair is not completely secure, and I wound up wiring about half of the joints to make them less likely to come apart. Also, when I went to pour the concrete, I did not think I could pour from a wheelbarrow without disrupting the rebar matrix, so I went with a pump. The pump added about $200 to the cost of the pour but I was really happy with the process and the results.

911 chairs for rebar
911 chairs are great.. they are strong and hold up while you are pouring concrete and stay in place. Also i used them on wire mesh. I doubled tied them . Great product..

Chaired my rods perfectly
Easy to use. The #4 rebar snapped easily into the chair in two directions. Made the job a snap to do. Was the right height for the concrete forms I was using.
