Not gonna lie, these things are amazing, I carry these lacrosse balls everywhere with me. I am active and pretty much go with the season, in the winter I snowboard and hike backcountry, in the summer I trail run, hike, bike, swim, rock climb, surf, paddle board you get the picture. Being said I am always pushing myself to the next level, and these little baby's really help me do that. The quality of these is great. There solid and keep there firmness, I've had these two for a yr now, and have put them through everything. They have helped me recover so well. I love them my friends love them. Matter a fact they loved them so well one of them is missing. lol regardless I carry this with me in my back pack everywhere I got. Getting ready to pick up an extra set. These came quit joy when I ordered them. And have been happy ever since.Look if you're like me, then we rely on these ratings and reviews to be honest so that we can make accurate decisions. Ordered these at the suggestion of my physical trainer to work out arthritis and acid in the muscles of my foot. These little balls are great quality, solid balls that work amazing for this function. Rolling the muscles against the balls activates the muscles and in my case has done wonders for decreasing the pain I have in my foot due to overworking it.This package came with two balls, just as described. I can't see them every wearing down and I expect to be able to continue using them daily for as long as I need. Great price for a great product.

I used to teach a childbirth class and demonstrated massage techniques using tennis balls. The lacrosse ball is about the same size, but much firmer.The LAX stars balls arrived as a set of 2, one blue and one orange. These will work well for trigger point therapy whereas a tennis ball might be too soft. I can't foresee these balls wearing out from use as a massage tool, so I consider it a one time purchase. I will update my review should they deteriorate or fail in some way.

One of my alternative health care providers recommended using different balls with varying textures and hardness. So I am using a black paddleball which is a little softer and now the Lacrosse balls which are a little harder but similar texture (smooth). The blue and orange balls seem identical to me except for color. I would give it 5 stars but the surface is a little sticky and it picks up crumbs from my kitchen floor. Maybe that will wear off over time. Or maybe we should clean our kitchen floor more often.

9 months out from knee replacement and my popliteus and hamstrings are not cooperating. PT and massage therapist suggested using foam rollers and lacrosse balls to roll/smash/break down scar tissue and tightness. I use one ball under the back of my knee, and then use it under my thigh to roll over it. Ball on the floor, roll leg over it. Relief is profound. Google 'self massage - foot and lower leg highlights' on youtube for more on techniques.Another great book is Becoming a Supple Leopard by Kelly Starrett. He uses lacrosse balls for bodywork in many different muscle groups and his book, found on Amazon, is a wonderful primer for body work, functional movement and movement flow. I use these balls for cool down after a workout.Balls are hard, not soft! Bigger than golf ball, smaller than baseball.I am very, very happy with this purchase.

very solid, well made lacrosse balls. just started using them and just have to find ways to incorporate them into my day to get the best use of them to loosen tightened muscles. from what i have tried, i can see they will work out fine.

These are great for knots in your back that you can't reach (or the area between shoulder blades where foam rolling doesn't really get well). I will likely have to buy another set as my cat has hidden one of the two balls and I simply cannot find it. Luckily, the second one stays in my suitcase for travel and I can pull it out to use at home, also.

I love these massage balls. I carry them in my purse with me everywhere. I use them primarily for my low back and SI joint pain. It really helps loosen my low back and buttock muscles to give me relief between massage and chiropractic treatments. I have a friend who uses them frequently for neck pain. Can really be used anywhere. They are the perfect size and consistentcy to get results at a tolerable pressure.

Perfect for rolling out stiff muscles after workouts. Very firm so just right for getting into those deep muscles in your back and feet. My only comment about getting the coloured ones as opposed to a standard grey one is that black seems to be a dust catcher. I've only been using the black one so far (threw the green one in my gym bag), and have to wash it off each time I use it. Will have to check if the green one reacts the same way, otherwise it definitely serves the purpose I bought them for.

They seem great for the price. I paid almost that much for 1 at a chiropractor and these seem to be of equal quality.

These are great for massaging chest and back muscles. I also use them for massaging the bottom of sore feet. They work great.

Purchased for back massages as indicated by physiotherapist but it's too hard to use compared to actual products made for that purpose.

I bought these because I was too cheap at first to spend money on the TheraCane. These balls work fine, but the TheraCane works better.
