Outstanding for cat grass.
I use this for cat grass. The germination percentage is probably 100% and the quality is excellent. The price is very good too.

Grows quickly
Grew for cats to help with furballs. They grew quickly and were devoured by my three cats. Worked well. Don't overstock the planting surface and soak in apple cider vinegar and water overnight to prevent mould. You don't need a substrate to grow.

Excellent for sprouting!
Excellent quality grain that sprouts really well! Tried this because the parrot sprouting mix I buy has become poor quality and most wasn't sprouting. No issues at all sprouting this though and I have 3 happy parakeets now!

Surprisingly versatile. Excellent value for money
I bought this initially for my kitten. Cats like and need to chew on grass from time to time. Kittens chew on anything in reach so you have to be careful with house plants as some can be poisonous to them. You can buy kits for growing grass for cats (Small pots, compost and the seeds), however the kits cost about the same as this does, only you get about 5% of the seeds. Get some compost or just use soil, reuse some old pots or food containers and get these seeds instead. Much better value for money. The pack doesn't look that big but, trust me, you do get a lot and every single one will sprout. The seeds grow really fast; sprouting within a couple of days and after a week and are already a few centimetres tall. Once I planted them for the aforesaid feline, I realised it makes quite an attractive house plant if you keep it trimmed. A friend recently admired and inquired about my "house plant" not realising my neatly coiffured pot was actually just grass for the kitten. The grass is edible for humans and nutritious too. Doubtless many might buy it for that reason. I use my trimmings in salads, stir-fries or smoothies. Note that the review asks you to score on Value, Versatility and Flavour. Grass has little flavour. You probably wouldn't just eat it on its own. So, if it looks like I've not given a 5-star review, that's where the points drop lies. Otherwise, as foretold in the title, these are surprisingly versatile and thus excellent value for money. oh, almost forgot, I also recently planted some daffodils outside - which won't come up until spring. I sprinkled some of these seeds on to cover the bare earth and to deter squirrels from digging up the bulbs. It looks better than a patch of mud and seems to have fooled the squirrels who, so far, haven't unearthed a single bulb.

Great as kitty grass Cats like it Grows well Good value
I bought this purely to use as a "Kitty-grass" for my cats who nibble it on a daily basis. Arrived in a resealable outer bag. The pack itself has a strong click-seal fastening & is full to the brim with seeds which are smaller than the oats they often use in kitty-grass. Far far bigger bag than the average pack of kitty grass, which you can see, for comparison in the third photo, and which usually costs £3-£5 or more. Sowed quite generously in pot of compost. Germination rate was good as plenty germinated. It it was also fast as many came up within a few days & most were up within the first week. This is easily as good as, or even better than for any other kitty grasses I've tried. Thin stems of grass, which thicken & branch out after a day or two, forming a lush, thick potful. The kitties have been nibbling it just as readily as any other kitty grasses they've had, which is my main consideration. All in all a great success. Very happy with this purchase & will buy again. Highly recommended.
