Used them for clamps. If your thinking of doing the same, get a thicker pipe. These bow out, and do it with less pressure than anticipated. And take the stickers off, clamps won’t slide over them.

exactly what it says

Like most people, I purchased these to build a piece of furniture and was very happy with them. They're exactly the same as what you'd buy in the plumbing section of Home Depot, but less expensive. All black pipes have a greasy coating on them upon purchase that will rub off and mark surfaces, but the coating on these seemed a bit lighter than what I've bought at Home Depot, which was nice. To use for projects, I hit it with some sandpaper or steel wool and a coat of matte-black spray paint (be sure to tape off the threads if you do this).I can't speak to the pipes' efficacy in plumbing applications, but as far as I can tell they are near identical to pipes available in plumbing departments, so in theory, they should work well.
