Wildly Cool and Unique
Grabbed this impulsively with an exchange credit and I'm enamoured with it.PROS:-I love the look and feel of brass and the engravings (including those on the blade) are really beautiful.-This design is over a century old, very simple, and rough around the edges aesthetically. It feels handmade. That shouldn't be confused with "cheap" though even though these are inexpensive. It takes a little effort to open but that resistance in the rivet is just enough to keep it closed in your pocket as well as stiff without blade play when opened. The tab on the blade is ingenious as an opener and as a sort of lock as you naturally press your thumb into it while cutting.-The blade is just a razory shard of high carbon steel and is vicious for 2", a perfect box opener, office, or kitchen knife. Its not stainless of course but I don't mind keeping oil on it. I haven't had to sharpen it but I imagine it will strop very easily.CONS: *crickets*I look forward to trying one of the bigger versions but this one is so fun and just disappears into your pocket, a no-brainer especially if you collect.

This thing is small but mighty.
My husband bought this for me as a smaller version of his and I really like it. Sleek design and enjoyable to use. It may be small and cute but this thing is sharp. I love that it’s brass, as well.

Fantastic small knife
Beautiful small knife. The keychain makes it great to put on your keys. Would be 5 stars but it has no lock.

Excellent quality. Great value for the price.
I like it in every way. I’ll use it for pocket carry. It is small enough for that.

Used these as a kid they are still the same!
I use to love these as a kid! Looks like they are still exactly as I remember them! Pretty easy to sharpen. Traditional Japanese style, classic pocket knife. Great for sharpening carpentry pencils.

Smaller than I expected, but in a good way. I wanted a very small one.
I already had the 120mm version and I really liked it, so I decided to get a smaller one just to have around. It was much smaller than I expected, but I’m glad it’s this small. It’s easy to toss in my pocket and go unnoticed all day. These knives are also very easy to sharpen; a little quality rime with a whet stone and not only will it get shaving sharp, but it will hold its edge for a while too.Remember that they’re are all put together by hand so there’s going to be some minor blemishes that make each one unique, and it comes with the spine is unfinished to help save a little moneyP.S. Carbon steel will rust, so make sure you keep the blade clean and oiled.

too small
smaller than I thought, not the traditional size of this knife. I knew is was going to be a smaller, but ,this is a trinket vs a usable tool.as I cant return it ro my local Whole foods with my other returns, im forced to keep it as im not boxing and labeling it as i dont have a printer even for a pickup its not, convenient, I'll just keep it. It needs to be oiled too

Leather holder WORTH IT
If this is the legit handmade Higo no kami it’s well worth $25 and getting the leather holder for it.That makes it so much easier to bring, keep track of, protect and utilize.I love that I have a piece of history and that I can get the blue paper steel sharper than any razor/knife I’ve ever had. You’ll need to sharpen yourself if you want it crazy sharp, but it’s an awesome knife to learn how to sharpen. My favorite utility blade right now.
