Rich, Bold Flavor – Perfect for True Yerba Mate Lovers!
The Canarias Yerba Mate is hands down one of the best yerba mates I’ve tried! It has a bold, earthy flavor that’s perfect for anyone who enjoys a strong, authentic mate experience. The taste is rich and smooth with a slightly bitter edge, which is exactly what I expect from a high-quality yerba. One of the things I love about Canarias is that it has a fine grind with minimal stems, which creates a long-lasting and consistent flavor throughout multiple infusions. It’s great whether you’re drinking it the traditional way with a gourd and bombilla or brewing it as tea.The 2.2 lb bag is also fantastic value for the quality and amount you get, lasting a long time even for regular mate drinkers. If you’re a fan of authentic, traditional yerba mate with a full-bodied flavor, Canarias won’t disappoint. I highly recommend it to serious mate drinkers!

Packs a Punch
I have gotten into drinking Yerba this year because it does not upset my stomach like coffee and black tea, it provides a good caffeine flow, and the flavor is good. Canarias has been the best flavor out of all the brands I have tried so far. It is also the only of the brands I have tried so far that is a finer cut so that may have something to do with the flavor. It doesn't have the same flavor as coffee, but it is the closest drink I can compare it to for it's richness and robustness. My usual qualifier for a good hot caffeinated drink is can I drink it without the need to add anything else and Canarias fits the bill for me!One thing I have noticed while drinking Yerba the more traditional way, filling the cup up 2/3rds of the way with leaf, is that it becomes a little too potent for me, causing some fatigue and such. The traditional way is more meant to be done in a shared setting anyway and since I drink this myself it probably means I was drinking too much of it. I now prepare it with only about 1/8th of the cup filled with leaf. I still get the rich flavor but the smaller quantity means I do not have that fatigue. It also means I am not using as much so a 2.2 lb bag can last me a while!Whether you drink it the traditional way or your own way, be sure to have a good Bombilla or filtration system! The finer cut does mean you may get some more particles in some of the sips compared to the brands with larger cuts. I personally don't mind and was anticipating this because it's a loose leaf drink, one should expect a little grit.If you are new to Yerba and are/were a coffee drinker, you may enjoy this brand.

Amazing taste and Amazing product
First time trying this brand after watching many videos and reading reviews and I love it it’s more of a ground up Yerba that I’m not used too I’ve only ever used Cruz De Malta and it seems to have a more relaxed feeling and still a strong sense of focus which I like for my job I would recommended to a friend

Little too intense for me
Preface: United States citizen, born and raised. Mate was not part of my upbringing, so this delicious drink is still fairly new to me, but I've gotten pretty good at making it the traditional way.Now the actual review: Holy moly this stuff brews bitter. (Before you judge this post, yes of course I use hot water not boiling water, about half the time measured with a thermometer even-- that's rule #1 of mate making. I figured out why real quick.) Since this yerba is "sin palo" it has no branches in it. The leaves impart a much more potent flavor, so not having the branches makes this a really powerful, bitter brew. It also makes it a little more tricky to pack in the mate, but I have a pretty cheap bombilla and manage pretty easily to get a mostly yerba-free mouthful, although the leaves properly packed force you to suck a little harder like on a milkshake. I'm new to making mate the traditional way, and this is a little bitter for me, though the flavor is great otherwise, so I'll give it the 4 stars I believe it deserves. If you want your mate to kick you in the face, this is your brew. However, I'm switching back to Cruz de Malta; I think I might be a "con palo" mate drinker. As others have said, including South Americans, it's a matter of preference.

Just amazing
So after reading and researching on this yerba, I was under the impression it was going to be overbearing for me. Turns out that it is not. For sure the first sip is like a " Well hello there" introduction, but after the second cycle, you get very used to it and want more. I would highly recommend this if you have surpassed the point of knowing that you really like and enjoy yerba mate. Is it for beginners...maybe. Personally, I like stronger things such as Neat whiskey, black coffee etc. But saying that shouldn't push anyone away from buying it because this yerba is really great. I've yet to try the green version of this to compare which is stronger or mellow.

Powder, Not worth it.
The media could not be loaded. This is my first time buying this brand and I will never do it again. It is pretty much nothing but super fine ground powder.
