I love this device so much!
My favorite thing I have ever purchased. I can’t explain how satisfactory it is to use buttons to flip through pages. I also can’t get over how customizable this is. I love that it’s a white device. I’ve gotten so many questions on what it is and so many compliments when I explain it’s an e-reader. I haven’t left this device alone for a single day since I got it. Although it does feel so fragile that I feel the need to be extra careful with it, I would still buy this again!

Favorite E-reader
My favorite purchase in 2025. Naturally, there are imperfections that come with e-ink displays but the experience of having all of your reading apps in one device far outweighs it. Because of how fragile it can be, I suggest buying a protective cover and the protection plan Amazon provides.

Worst purchase ever! save your money
worst purchase i made ever! I was really excited when I bought my Boox device. I loved the idea of having a portable e-reader that I could easily carry around to read anywhere. But unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. After less than two months of normal use, the screen broke — completely cracked — even though I always kept it in my bag and handled it carefully. I never dropped it or put any pressure on it, so I was shocked to see it suddenly damaged. For a product this expensive and marketed for portability, the build quality is unacceptable. When I reached out to customer service, it only got worse. They told me the screen damage wasn’t covered under warranty and offered to replace it — but the repair cost was almost the same as buying a brand new device. I asked if there were any other options, but they were slow to reply, gave short answers, and didn’t seem interested in helping at all. For the price, I expected far better durability and at least some accountability from the company. Instead, I’m left with a useless device after only a few weeks and no reasonable solution. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend Boox to anyone. The screen is too fragile, and the after-sales support is unhelpful and overpriced. Save your money and go with a more reliable brand.

Made me get back into reading again
Absolutely no issues whatsoever like some of the others reviews here have said. Surprised by the quality of the screen and enjoyment I get out of this device. Would recommend this first to anybody looking to buy their first e-reader. A+

Love it, but issues started in less than 6 months
I love this and I took the time and care to get used to the different operating system than I’m used to, however it didn’t get through half a year before I started having issues with the screen having frozen pixels. I don’t even know what’s causing it which is very frustrating, and the one potential “fix” that I found online didn’t work. It’s getting worse, too, I just noticed two more lines of frozen pixels across the screen yesterday and I’m worried it’s going to continue deteriorating, which is not what I want from something that cost almost $300. It’s started to have some minor issues with apps crashing, as well.

Over it.
Fragile. Having Google play might be an ideal concept but tbh but I bought one off the site after having mailing issues with The Order that I got from Amazon and and it probably wasn't longer than a week. That I had immediately regretted it. I understand that kaleidoscope's color display is difficult with a lot of devices. The dew color e-ink but the glitching and the ghost thing is just not worth it. No matter what type of settings you apply. When is just going to make it obnoxious? To read from the physical design is a great idea if we weren't for the fact that. The screen dipsend and most screen protectors want to cover the entire front of the device. So you are constantly touching an air pocket. I was so over it. I gave up and purchased the colorsoft by kindle. If it works then why try to fight it?... I'll just reserve readi g my comics from other applications on my tablets and galaxy z fold 7

Great e book reader for multiple apps
Best ever purchase. It has play store so you can install multiple e book apps. In my case I use it for RidiBooks to read Korean books and it has been a life changer. The buttons all work fine, the refresh works well and I love that it's color as well.
