Hi, On our bottle, it states on the front label underneath the Peptac emblem that the product is Sugar Free. Hopes this helps

What are the ingredients

Each 5ml of this medicine contains 133.5 mg Sodium Bicarbonate, 250 mg Sodium Alginate, 80 mg Calcium Carbonate, ethyl parahydroxybenzoare (E214), propyl parahydroxybenzoare (E216), butyl parahydroxybenzoare, isopropyl alcohol, erythrosine colour (E127), star anise oil, purified water.

Does this smell strongly of aniseed?

Can’t say it’s been really noticeable - after all if you buy aniseed flavoured liquid then it’s going to have some smell. Also used this product for my dog as well and the smell never put him off.

Does it have a good use by date?

The 500ml bottle I bought the other day has a sell-by date of 07/2018.
