where do i get refills

You can always get the refills from Amazon.. But also if you want to spend less, I have a solution. See I tested the candle and it is much better and strnger than Coghlan or UCO.. You can use any candle available in the market, thick ones or thin ones, cut it down if you have to, so that the flames dont reach upto the top cover easily. For citronella candles ofcourse you have to run through your camp stores in the neighborhood or super markets or but it from Amazon. In India we dont get Citronella candles so I am just bought few thick regular candles and cut it down and they are going fine.. Also costs me less that a dollar for a pair of candles that keep on burning for around 6-8 hours because of the glass protection, which reduces melting fast.

How do you open the top to light the wick? I can see that it has a lot of prongs, but do you pry it open? If so, with what? Mystified!!

On the top, very center, there is a label telling you to "snap" it off. This is the cap that is then removed to light the wick, the cap is then replaced after each use to keep water and debri from getting inside the candle. You will see the round cap with 3 prongs which snap off. I hope this helps!

There are no refills. When the candle is used up, you buy another unit, just any ordinary candle.
