Does the job well
I was using this on floors that are about 80 years old and have had hard treatment by various residents. There are places where the floor is completely worn through the shellac and even the stain is worn off. I was worried because it says not to use on untreated floors, but I figured it couldn't possibly make it worse. So after a good cleaning I followed the directions and mopped over the whole floor. I waited an hour or so then put on the second coat. The difference from before is impressive. The parts of the floor that still had finish have a nice semi-gloss shine. The bare wood doesn't shine exactly but does look so dried out and sad. My husband's comment was the best description- "It looks old but clean." And that's exactly what it is. Very thankful to the man (Fred?) whose description of cleaning floors in his rental house recommended Weiman as the best of the "repair" products. He also recommended Zep for cleaning and that stuff is amazing too.

Amazing
I am getting ready to sell my home. When I moved in 17 years ago, the floors were dull, scratched and dry. I've applied moisture inducing treatments over the years but the floors remained lackluster and moving heavy furniture over the years, I added to the deep scratches in the floor. I bought this product out of desperation in hopes it would add luster to the floors and hide the scratches. The deep grooves in the wood aren't filled in by this product but they are made much less noticeable. The floors shine (I applied 2 coats) and look brand new. There is no after residue either. I cleaned my flooring with Murphy's Oil Soap. Let them dry. Using a swiffer sweeper "broom" (the kind you tuck the swiffer floor wipe to) I tucked in microfiber towels that were a similar size. I squirted the product in a zig zag on the floor and used the rags to easily spread the product in the area. The rags absorbed the product and retained a lot of it so I didn't need to use too much of the product. Heavy groove areas, I squirted more product and let the rags skim over these areas. The results are incredible. These are true, wooden floors and this product has made them look new again. My house will show much better now when people begin coming through during open houses. I even used the product on a microfiber towel to spruce up wood railings and my wooden furniture. It dries without residue and makes the wood look beautiful.

REVIVING OLD FLOORS
I used this as a test on my stairs and was happy to see that they looked much better. The color of the wood appeared to be deeper, like it must have looked when they were first put down 100 years ago. I'm sure that with repeated use the moisture will get even further into the grain. I did try it on a patch of floor that had more of the finish worn away, it made little difference on this patch so I may have to attempt to put a stain down to make it match the rest of the floor. Overall, I like this product.

It impressed us with how well it works
Our wooden floors are over 100 years old. There are scuffs and marks everywhere as you would expect. It didn’t use to bother me much but it’s gotten a lot worse over the past year—to the point where it scratched and injured our dog’s foot. That was the turning point for us.We considered getting it redone but alas we don’t have the funds for that right now. So we did the next best thing and that’s to use a floor restorer. It’s our first time dealing with this kind of project but I have to say it’s easier than what I had imagined. I followed the instructions to the t and got some great results. It didn’t fix all the problems, like the splinters are still there but it has for sure made our floors look nicer. It’s now a lot shinier than before. Scratches are also less visible.Using the floor restorer:We started by cleaning the floors thoroughly with a vacuum. Then we used our flat dust mop to remove dirt and dust. Finally, we opened the bottle of restorer and applied that to the hardwood. It dried quickly and we were able to put on the second layer after 30 minutes. We contemplated on whether or not to add a third layer but it looked good enough with two so we left it at that. The smell isn’t exactly great but fortunately it went away after an hour. The next step is to see how long the two layers will last. I read in some reviews that it’s generally durable so I have my fingers crossed that I won’t have to re-do it for a while. I will update my review when I need to get them redone so you all know how long it works for. As it is…right now however I am satisfied with the product and would give it a full 5/5!

Excellent product
My wood floors are over 50 years old. I had them restored about 17 years ago. I was at a loss when they started looking worn from Heavy foot traffic in this house converted to an office. I tried many many different products to give my floors a little life, but they all failed. I was ready to have my floors professionally sanded down and restored, when by chance I purchased Weiman at my local grocery store (which doesn't carry any more for some reason.) Its extremely easy to mop on and dries completely in about 20-30 minutes. Two coats makes it even more beautiful, I haven't needed three coats. I've been using Weiman Polish and restorer for Heavy traffic for about 3 years now and saved thousands. The shine usually lasts about 6 months. For the price and ease it's definetely worth a try. I'll update this post in 8 months when the shine goes away, since I forgot to take a before picture.
