Multiple holsters for multiple handguns is no longer an Issue. The BLACKHAWK! Omnivore is a Multi-Fit holster that accommodates more than 150 styles of semi-automatic handguns with an accessory rail. The active retention mechanism locks onto our proprietary rail attachment device, not the frame of the handgun. A thumb release disengages the locking mechanism when drawing the handgun. The Omnivore represents the future in retention holster technology, and delivers unparalleled firearm access.

Love It!!!!!!
Just got this holster yesterday and I love it tried it with multiple guns 1911, glock 19, glock 17 ect and it works perfect. Now only problem is I have the surefire x300 ultra with the T Slot mounting option this holster from factory does not work with that option the screw hangs up but I was able to go into the holster and modify it a little. There’s a strip of molding on both sides were the light fits in this is for tension I found if you file about a half and inch of it from the screw side down so it’s flush with holster(see pictures for illustration) it works PERFECTLY! I did this and have had zero problems now and tension is still solid no problems what so ever. This probably voids any warranty but for $35 worth it this holster is a super bang for your buck I love it, if your like me with multiple handguns that doesn’t want 50 holsters this is a perfect option plus it works with guns like the 1911 with a weapon light that’s seems impossible to find holsters for.

DANGEROUS FOR MANY SIG SAUER FIREARMS
IF YOUR BUYING FOR SIG SAUER WITH A SUREFIRE X300 DO NOT BUY THIS HOLSTER IS DANGEROUS, you can fit your finger into the holster and operate the trigger with out issue I have included pictures. When testing the holster I was able to easily fit my finger, pen, screwdriver into the holster on 3 different firearms Sig P229, Sig P226 and Sig SP2022. The pistol sit's so high in the holster the trigger is almost exposed. There is less then a half inch between the trigger and full exposure. And for the record I wear XXL gloves.

Does not like T Slot mount
Works fine with Surefire Rail Lock model, however it does not work well with the T Slot mount on the Surefire light. The screw that is on the T Slot version catches on the inside of the holster creating resistance and twisting of the firearm as your trying to holster the weapon. It does release the weapon fine once you get it holstered but it does take some effort to get it holstered with T Slot. Which sucks when you have a $200 tac light on your weapon. I have two rail mount lights and a T Slot all Surefire and I was excited about the holster. Do to the T Slot mount issue I haven't been able use it as I wanted. So far that's the only issue I've I had, so other than that it seems like a solid product if you have the right mount on your tac light.

GREAT Level 2 holster for many firearms!
I really like this level 2 holster. It fits my Glock 17 with the Surefire X-300 perfectly (make sure you have the correct X-300 light before buying). I purchased this level 2 holster because it fits so many of my handgun using the rail attachment kit. The paddle and belt clip were easy to put on using the 3 screws that came with it. I did have one issue, but I did not reduce my star rating because it was a packaging issue over a product review. My holster was missing the rail attachment kit in its packaging. Amazon credited me back $20 so I could purchase that rail attachment kit elsewhere online including the shipping cost. I found the rail attachment kit on Cheaper Than Dirt for $18.16 with shipping. I would have purchased this item from Amazon but they do not sell it separately. This holster seems REALLY WELL MADE and the thumb release is easy to use. The fact that this holster fits on the drop leg system that Blackhawk sells was also a big factor in why I purchased their level 2 holster. I do not have their drop leg system yet but I think it's the best one out there since it has two belt attachments for a more stable platform. I would highly recommend this holster!

Concept is awesome, execution lacking
Like some of the reviews say regarding the seating is that It could be placed a full inch lower into the holster. It rocks a little but it is pretty secure. If there was more plastic that cover the trigger area I could see this as a possible duty holster but as is, a little too exposed. Maybe in the future they can fix this issue, they would have a good product. I think "hoods" are overrated and can easily be defeated. Anybody who believes that a hood is going to stop someone is living in a dream world. Criminals practice all the time on disarming law enforcement / military. Holsters like this and the Serpa series and Safarilands ALS is going to be the future of OWB carry. Especially now with modulation like lights, optics, and grips. But for what it worth, it a good deal and serves as a range holster

One holster to rule them all
I give it a 5 star because of the price. You could easily pay at least double for a kydex light bearing holster. That is assuming your pistol is even offered. This is very innovative. I have used it with M&Ps and a 1911. I was worried about the thumb button but it ended up being very natural to push/pull during the draw. The only con to me is that the entire weight of the weapon is hanging from the pic rail on the dust cover. If you run a polymer weapon a good strike to your grip could bend it.Overall I like it and have purchased another one for the TLR-1. Great to have for friends at the range because it will work with such a large variety of firearms.

Works....good
It's a good range holster for a x300 it holds some weapons that are not on the list it grabs decent thumb break button has 3 different sizes only issue I have is it didn't come with as many attachments as my other black hawk holsters and one thumb grip the screw went right threw it so it fell off.

It's big, it's clunky. it works
Great starter solution to packing a pistol with a light. Fits a wide variety of pistols. Not suited for concealed carry but great in a competition environment. Retention is solid, sometimes release button is sticky so I would nut recommend for duty use.

Excellent product Outstanding value for money as it can handle anything you throw at it.
▪️ Allows for great versatility in use while providing good solid positive retention and excellent security.▪️ I was not familiar with the level 3 retention system but like the level 2 it’s intuitive so it becomes second nature before long.▪️Works perfectly with SureFire X300U-A model as well as SureFire X300▪️ Fits over 150 styles of semi automatic pistol (the link at Blackhawks website seems to be broken so I’ve included a photo)▪️Since they grab on to your SureFire weapon light not your pistol it doesn’t mar the surface of your pistol as it floats freely in the holster.▪️ Excellent design comes with extra parts to adapt to different hand sizes.▪️ Great product from an excellent manufacturer.

I don't know what to say.
Purchased this specific holster in the hopes that is may be able to hold my airsoft pistols the KJW hi-capa KP06, and the G&G GTP 9 with a Precision Dynamics flashlight that's the same model type as the Surefire X300 flashlight. To my disappointment, because my KP06 is a bit too long it is unable to latch unto the flashlight, the GTP 9 however, fits perfectly but with one problem, the latch doesn't completely hold the light securely, a tight, snug fit sure but that's all there is, there is nothing holding on to the flash light, the lever that's supposed to release the pistol does nothing, it isn't even connected to anything inside the holster, it's just a knob with a spring. This gets a 2 star because it came as such a big disappointment, it may hold on to my shorter pistol, but that's it.I am hoping the other Omnivore model's are not the same, especially the non light bearing model.Okay, update on the Omnivore product. Got my second holster as a replacement for the first one free of charge. Found out the reason why the first one wasn't so good. The first one was missing the retention clip that was supposed to lock on to the flash light itself which was to be depressed by the lever, releasing the pistol. So now it works great at retaining my GTP9 but my KP06 is still too long to be held in place by the holster. Hopefully Blackhawk comes out with a slightly longer one.Product gets a 3 star for now.

Great pistol holster.
Great pistol holster if you're looking to fit different models of pistols in one holster, if you want a perfect fit buy the specific holster for that gun, this holster is just convenient for use. Non the less it's great, well made.

A little loose?
I stuck some soft velcro on the outside to add a bit of tension and works great. Still a little wobble but I dont notice it after carrying for 6 hours. Took to Camo paint ok. Used on FNX45, HK45, SIG p226, SAI BLU with no issues.

Workes perfect with x300u flashlight.
This is the best holster I’ve owned. I love the fact that it hooks to the flashlight. Change out different pistols but not the holster like I had to do in the past. Good retention too.
