Awesome! Great for "hot spots" and flea bites.
My cat has a severe flea allergy and had licked off all the hair on his on his tummy and around his genitals and the skin was breaking open and was all red and weeping fluid. After the first application, I began to see improvement. The only drawback was his dislike of being sprayed so I sprayed it on a cotton ball and wiped it on then cuddled him so he couldn't lick it off right away. He actually began to like it-I think he felt the cooling-off right away. I treated him 3 or 4 more times and all the hair has come back. He's still got the flea allergy so he's getting flea treatments monthly now. He also had a bunch of crusty, scabby sores on the base of tail and around his neck; these were more difficult to get to since they were covered by hair so he ended up getting a cortisone shot from the vet. He's doing so much better!! I would definitely recommend this if your cat is scratching/licking at flea bites.

Great stuff
This stuff is awesome! 3 treatments and 4 days later the red rash is almost gone and gnawing/scratching practically ceased! Both dog and pet parents are getting some sleep! There is an odor but not obnoxious rather pleasant but I applied outside and let our dog stay in the mudroom for drying, about an hour. My hubby is asthmatic and didn't want any triggers, all did well with the product. I chose it for the 1% hydrocortisone, higher than competitors. I would definitely recommend!!

IT SMELLS SO STRONG
It seems to work okay, BUT the odor is crazy strong. I'm sensitive to smells, but even other people were commenting on how strong it was. VERY perfume-y smelling. I would have preferred no smell at all, I kind of expected a medicine type smell, but this is overwhelming, take your breath away perfume smell. It dissipates a LITTLE bit after it dries, but not much. And, the smell stayed around on my dog for days. As I said, the product seems to curb his itching, but I won't be ordering it again just for the smell. I'll look for something else with the hydrocortisone/oatmeal content.

Not sure why more vets don't recommend this over pills when pilling a cat is so ...
My Cornish Rex cat was itching and gnawing at herself so badly that she was creating huge bald spots in her fur. The anti-inflammatory she was on had side effects. This spray worked wonders....no trying to get a pill down her and no ointments she could lick off! This has the consistency of water, so I would just rub it into her skin. Her hair grew back quickly and she stopped itching. Not sure why more vets don't recommend this over pills when pilling a cat is so stressful....for us and them!

only shaving an using something like chlorhexidine will help cure it
Helps with those itchy spots on my doggo. If you can catch the itch before they chew at it too much, it can help prevent hot spots. Once the hotspot forms, only shaving an using something like chlorhexidine will help cure it.
