Volleyball Coaches Boards

I have a few clipboards for coaching my U11 soccer team. 6 different boards I’ve owned to date. Only 3 of those 6 were still in use. Each has its own purpose. One I have applied Velcro tape in our teams formation and I have laminated player names that I can easily move to positions or onto a substitution section. I plan on doing that to the side of this board that has the player lineup and I’ll give the old board to my Assistant Coach. This dry erase board will become my all purpose board. Replacing all but one of the other boards. The only reason I’ll keep one other board I have, is because magnets will stick to that older board. This board unfortunately is not metal so I can’t use my magnets to illustrate plays in motion. I don’t use he magnets very often but I like the option of moving the pieces so the younger kids can see how a play unfolds. I knew that this board wouldn’t work with magnets when I purchased it, so I’m not letting that impact my rating, but it will show up in the “Cons” list. If it had that feature it would literally be the only board I’d ever need! This is the largest and so far the most sturdy board I’ve ever owned. It comes with black and red dry erase markers with erasing pads on the caps. They are larger than the markers that come with most other boards I’ve purchased so they should last longer. They also have fine point tips, which none of my others have. The fine point makes it much easier to draw patterns and illustrate plays on the board. I’m very OCD about my drawings and those fat tip markers drive me crazy! Pros: -Sturdiest board I’ve used so far -One side for illustrating full field plays -One side for players and lineups (I will add the Velcro strips and laminated player names because it’s very easy to accidentally wipe off names on the lineup side, but that’s true with any dry erase clipboard. This is just a personal upgrade that my Team Manager created for me this season and now I can’t live without it) -Black and red fine point dry erase markers with eraser caps. Stress the FINE POINT! :) :) :) -Strong spring clip on one side -Plenty of spots for player names and substitutions -Looks great and very sporty IMO. I’m a sucker for cool looking things. -Rugged enough to throw in my soccer bag and not worry about it breaking -Price is great for quality and functionality Cons: -Can’t use magnets on this board That’s honestly the only “Con” that I can think of. If you are a coach then you know that finding quality gear and equipment can be an expensive journey of trial and error. That’s why I live on consumer reviews anytime I’m spending my hard earned money on myself, my children, or my teams. I also try to provide as many reviews as possible to repay the favor. I would highly recommend this board for all soccer coaches. Especially when coaching children, who need that visual illustration.

First year coaching little league where I needed something more than scrap paper to keep track of batting order and other details. Decent product overall - only wish was it was a bit more sturdy. Dropped it on the concrete early on and the corner cracked off - nothing major other than a sharp edge, but wish it held up slighty better. Being tossed in and banged around in a gear bag scratched up the surface as well, again, nothing major but wont wipe completely clean now as marker is imbedded in the scratches and dings. Thats probably more my fault though than the actual product. Overall solid and would (and probably will) by again and treat the next one a bit more gently

I just replaced the old boards because they'd been used so much over a few years that the built-in lines had disappeared. The included carbiner to attach the board to a fenced dugout is great and the red and black markers attach to the board. I coordinate senior pick-up softball and we don't need the field diagram on the reverse side. It would be better to have the line-up on both sides. Negatives: the provided markers are now dead. The cleaning fluid is a token addition so get a bigger spray bottle and fill it with 409 or Windex. If you don't clean the boards after play it will stain the surface... don't wait until the next game to do it. The built in lines will also rub away.

This is a big board. Great when you're using it, but a little bulky when you're trying to store it. The trade off is worth it for me. Also, I love the minimal labels. It makes for maximum flexibility and minimum confusion, especially in coed leagues where you have to stagger the line-up. There's a smaller option if you prefer a more compact size. I'd recommend either way.

I bought this board about 3 years ago and just realized now it is GoSports as I am looking to buy one for a past player. I now see why I can still use everyday. Great quality, super easy to keep clean, and conveniently fits in any of my coaching bags. GoSports strikes again, proving their impact on players and coaches.

I give five stars to the actual board itself. It’s clear, easy to see, and erases easily. Instead of a white board type finish it’s actually hard plastic. I think that would hole up better in the long run vs a regular finish. I liked the markers that came with it and how they attached to the board however the black one ran out in about 14 seconds and the red one lasted a couple days. I think I’ll use staedtler markers that come in a case. I always wear a shirt with a pocket and the four pack would fit in the pocket for easy access.

I was excited to use this clipboard for coaching. I was drawn to the dry erase feature and being able to outline plays. I also liked that it was a clipboard. Overall, it worked well, but I was disappointed that the clipboard spring broke easily and no longer holds enough tension to stay down and hold papers. I’m not sure if it was poorly made and thus, wasn’t very durable or if one of the kids was too rough on it. It still obviously works for drawing out plays but I wish I had a way to fix the clipboard spring.

nice looking board! ... however it is not metal so magnets will not stick ! (disappointing) some dont care, I had magnets with all players made up so I am bumbed. Markers have nice option to clip on but came dried out one has a little juice (also disappointing ) overall expected more for the price, but if you're just looking only to draw, it will do the job (buy your own markers I guess)..... UPDATE MARKERS DONT ERASE THEY JUST SMUDGE... MIGHT ASWELL USE PERMANENT MARKER! ... THIS IS SUPER ANNOYING... BIG HOPES , SMALL DELIVERY....

Excelente tabla La única mala son los plumones que no sirven muy bien pero pues con otros se trabaja perfectamente y es algo que no se puede exigir tanto porque el precio es económico

Exactly as advertised. Works great for explanations on bench at games and during discussions with players. Seems obvious but doesn't work on rainy or damp days.
