This product works exactly as it should. There are many reviews about them being unable to clamp anything/not opening wide enough, and I will admit I almost didn’t purchase for that reason. However, I am going to assume those people were not using the proper type of hangers. Velvet clips, velvet hangers. I included pictures to show, but the clips themselves have not only a clamp for your articles of clothing, but a smaller slot above that. The smaller slot should clamp over your velvet hangers perfectly, as they are thinner and very differently structured from a plastic hanger. After that, they stay on perfectly and open plenty wide enough to fit jeans and khakis but also clamp tightly enough to hang dress pants (all included in pictures).

Overall, these clips work well and match with the velvet hangers I have in my closet. It is easier to clip thinner items than thicker items such as denim or wool but you can make it work. They seem as if they will not damage my clothing which is another plus (some metal hanger clips can be too tight and leave marks). Another thing I would note is to be careful if you need to move the clips to a different position on the hanger...do not slide it along the velvet or it may scrape some of it off (see photo). To avoid this you need to fully in-clip it from the hanger and re-clip it on a different area.

Great item for hanging up bottoms in the closet. It holds my heavy jeans without fail. I use Amazon Basic Slim, Velvet, Non-Slip Suit Clothes Hangers and the clips fit perfectly on them.

I've just switched all my hangars to these black ones with the clips for my skirts, my clothes are looking better when I pull them out of the closet. Everything is just neater. Even my loose & wide necked tops. It's a nice system.

The clips have rust stains on the inside where clothes would go and have disgusting smell coming from them like dryed blood/ rust. Gross. Would not recommend.

I’ve been using these for a month and they work great, using with shorts, pants and jeans and have had no issues with holding them, do wish it was sold as a smaller pack, I am using less than half the pack, also they are white velvet

I like how this clips are so sturdy in hanging pants of all weights and skirts. Please purchase for organization. Leave no indication in materials.

Some break a little easy and are a little squeaky but great product
