I have one other wood watch, a Bewell, which has been a very good watch. But the Bewell is much larger and heavier. This is a gorgeous watch and yes, the photos on Amazon do not do it justice. The wood is not the bright yellowish color in the photos, but instead it is a much less brassy color. Just beautiful, really.A cautionary note: I had to remove one link for a perfect fit. A small tool is included with instructions for doing so. After reading the instructions it advises that you have a jeweler handle the task. I would say that that is good advice. In removing a link I managed to split the wood on one of the links and had to scramble to remove and rearrange a couple of links to replace the busted link.So, yeah, it is very pretty, but it is also VERY delicate. If you decide the remove links, then proceed very carefully. Use a very very small hammer in removing the pin.

My dad was a woodworker and when I gave him this watch he was so surprised and speechless. He is very hard to buy for but always thankful for whatever he's given, but this was a different reaction. HE LOVED IT! It is a beautiful watch, works well and send to be very solid. I can't tell you a lot about durability because he said it's too nice to wear every day. I told him the little dings and scuffs will only add to it's beauty over time, just like a beautiful piece of furniture. He still only wears it if he's leaving the house and for good occasions. Besides, if it broke, I'd just but him another one, it's that nice! It's also lightweight. I gave him the oak watch. It's the lightest color and will likely get darker with age.

Great piece. I bought it with some hesitation, as it looked too good to be true. I thought, either it's not really wood, or it is but looks much worse than in the photos. The fact of the matter is that I was wrong. It looked more beautiful in person than in the photos, and the craftsmanship is more than apparent. It comes with instructions to re-size the wrist band — which I'll absolutely have to do, as my wrists are tiny — and the instructions call for using a specialized needle to pull out the band pins. Lo and behold, the box brings the pin right inside (again, just as advertised, I just hadn't read that part). This was a good buy, and I would recommend it for anyone who wants to show up looking differently.I have never liked nor owned a watch with the shiny links on the wrist band, as to me they look horrible (just my personal taste). This one made out of wood is a fantastic alternative.

After purchasing a few watches from Amazon looking for that perfect fit, look, and style, this GOGOMY watch finally fit the bill. As for value, pricing and look it's an expensive looking piece without being an expensive piece of jewelry that can be worn casual or formal. Only downside is that it's not waterproof or displays date or day. If it displayed date.day it would be a very worthy piece !

The company contacted me after reading my review below offering me refund or replace. Very professional so changed from 1 to 3 stars. However, I opted to renounce only because logistically speaking I'm no longer in US. My old message...was be a gift but arrived with second hand broke and dead battery. Too difficult and delicate to shorten wristband so took to local jeweler to remove second hand($8), new battery($10) and band size adjustment ($5). However, he said the casing was poorly made and unable to open face to remove second hand because it would break nor was he able to replace battery with its type of underside opening.

The first one the sent me the second hand had broken, I got in touch with them and they offered me a replacement or reimbursement, I took the replacement and so glad I did! This watch is beautiful and nicely made. I bought it for my husband after he lost his first wooden watch but he loves this one much more! Great buy!!

I JUST GOT 2ND WATCH TODAY JULY 5 IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND ELLEGENT I'M NOT GONNA WEAR MY FIRST JUST YET THESE ARE THE KIND OF WATCHES THAT YOU LET MERANAD FOR AWHILE THEN YOU WEAR IT I AM SO HAPPY WITH 2 PURCHASE'S I WILL BE GETTING PLENTY MORE OF THEM REAL SOON

Love the feel and face of the watch, very light weight. Damaged it a bit though just trying to adjust links. The pins do not come out very easy and wood is a little fragile.
