Q: What is the expiration date on recent packs shipped out in October?

Ordered in June, 2020. Product manufacture date on back middle seam indicates manufacture date 5/2020, and use by 5/2022. I received the correct package, product in 4 days. The price was $10.19, during global shortage due to COVID-19.

Q: How Much Does It Come In A Package?

The 1 lb package does have 16 ounces in it. A better way to think of it is how many loaves of bread can you make? The short answer is 64 -- based on the fact that one envelope of yeast is 1/4 ounce. I agree with Barbara below about refrigerating yeast in a dry, air-tight container. I even freeze mine in canning jars and lids and use it frozen. You can always check for rising ability by mixing 1/4 cup warm water with a pinch of sugar. Stir in 2 1/4 teaspoons of yeast and wait until it foams. Good to go!

The current expiration date is the date they print on the label that indicates when the yeast will probably start to deteriorate.. Each package has it's own date, based on the date it was packed. The PARTICULAR bag has an expiration date that is well into the future.

Hello, I have carefully checked the label on this dry yeast and I cannot find anything about gluten free or a wheat free facility. You may want to check with Red Start Yeast direct to find the answers. Thank you
