These are the xcel 500 bt correct?

Negative. The review is about the Xcel 100, but the only difference between the model 100 and the model 500 is the blue Tooth capability. The 100 model does NOT come with Blue Tooth capability, the 500 does. Everything else is the same, so the review applies to both models.

any issues with breaking the seal on cheek when shooting shotgun or rifle?

No I haven’t had any of that to happen

Can the bluetooth talk on the phone?

Yes, it can. Call quality is acceptable but not great. You can set them to allow safe level noises in or block everything out. All while listening to music or taking calls. I can hear my wife talking to me perfectly while it blocks out the sound of the blower. It's pretty crazy. I love these things!

What is the Noise Reduction Rating for these muffs?

There is no NRR rating for this item listed on Walker's web site! However, several other sites have it listed at 26- same as the Bluetooth version! It's been stated that printed noise reductions ratings are supposed to be "less" than the tested capability. If true, these should be around 28 but again, all sites that sell this item have them listed as 26. Keep a set of foam plugs handy if these don't provide sufficient noise reduction!!!
