Very nice weight, seems well built. Beautiful to look at!
Beautiful sword.. even at this price point... are these mass manufactured? They say handmade, but at $50 I have to question it... either way, great katana for the price

Amazing and impressive!
Absolutely amazing for the price! It was a huge hit for Christmas morning. It’s an impressive sword and very sharp...so be careful. I would recommend purchasing a display stand.

THIS IS A MUST BUY.
First off, this katana is great! My fiancee got this for me as a gift, and I was in awe of how sturdy it was. I've personally owned several swords, including a very expensive Viking longsword, and some cheaper swords, such as a Scottish basket hilt, and a version of William Wallace's sword. The two Scottish swords were around 50 bucks, and they were ok. The basket hilt was better than the claymore (William Wallace's sword) so I was expecting the quality of this one to be the same as those. I WAS WRONG. This katana was FAR better than those swords, and could easily compare to my expensive Viking longsword. I would definitely recommend this.

Decent sword for the price
For the price of this sword, it is actually fairly decent. It is balanced slightly towards the tip, which makes good for cutting. The snakes on the guard are a nice touch, although the decoration may irritate the hand if you hold it incorrectly. I use it for practicing Iaido, and it serves me well. After practice I clean the blade with a paper towel to clear any wood. I also apply some Clove oil which makes it smell nice. Are there better swords? Of course. But for a beginner, this sword will do the trick as you practice your draws and cuts.

Worth every penny.
I did a lot of research and read a bunch of reviews on all the $100 to $130 katanas that Amazon has for sale, this katana for $50 bucks is at least as good if not better. I was prepared to spend over $100 for one.... Let me tell you.. this katana is not only beautiful but strong and built very well. I bought 2, the red one for my wife and the black for myself, I got 2 for less then 1 in some cases. I couldn't be happier. Both were flawless. I'm going to buy more for my family and friends. It's that good. The sword bag is a good thickness and nice looking.
