Garant NSP24D Nordic 24-Inch Steel Blade Snow Pusher

This is not a " snow shovel," but a "snow pusher." If you want to move your snow , from one area to another use this tool. Don't lift snow with it. It works well because it is very sturdy, has the perfect design and shape , to clear the snow as you push it from one area to another. Used it to push the snow off my pavement to the curbside, after a very heavy snowfall. My pavement was clear of snow, and I went back and salted, so no one would slip on any frozen ice that was bound to occur as temps dropped even lower. People have commented this snow pusher is "heavy." Unless you have physical issues, thatvyou can't bring it from inside your house to where you need it, you need'nt worry. I found it effortless to to do so. and found the weight is a non issue. Also, being you are pushing it along, to get the job done, the weight and in addition the way this snow pusher is used, are all features that work together in a good way that allows this snow pusher to glide along, which made it effortless for me to get the job done. I even did my neighbors front. Never use a shovel again , when you want to just want to clear snow and need to move it from one area to another. I tried it and absolutely loved it.

I bought a cheap, flimsy snow shovel last year because that was all that was left. This year I vowed to look for a real metal snow shovel that could handle the snow like I used when I was a kid. Boy was I impressed when it came in the mail today. This thing is awesome. So well built that I will never have to buy another snow shovel again. Yes, it really is a snow plow, but it is amazing. It won't bend when I try to shovel snow. If you want a real snow shovel this is it. I know that it is expensive, but so is buying a new one every year of the cheaper ones. It is of course heavier than those plastic ones, but so much better at getting rid of the snow. I am so glad that I found this one.

Purchased this shovel based on all the positive reviews as to it's heft and durability. Just unboxed it, if you want to call a super thin layer of tiny bubble wrap inside a huge box a good packaging method. I honestly thought the box was empty when I lifted it-it was that light. I must say though that it survived a trip across the country from Oregon to Long Island New York. A journey that took 8 days. Not sure why so many people describe it as heavy. Maybe earlier versions were heftier. Metal is on the thin side, and curvature of shovel is not as sharp as I would have hoped. Already notice some rust spots on it and it hasn't even been exposed to the elements yet. Not a good sign.I reserve the right to come back and adjust this review after actually putting it to actual use, but initial impression are not that great.Update.Finally got to try out the shovel in back to back storms we had recently. It does what it is supposed to do,pushes the snow. Not very easy to lift,the snow slides off,but it is well built and cleans down to the pavement.Started at 3 stars, now up to 4.

Pretty well built. Hard to find a good shovel like this. I have cut new edges on them when they get warped.

I love this thing. Don't think of it as a shovel (though obviously it kind of is). Don't think of it as something shovel adjacent (though, again, obviously, yes). It moves snow - effectively and cleanly. The fact that it's so heavy, the fact that it doesn't have a blade, the fact that it's... I don't know, "belly" is so shallow - all of this contributes to this tool's usefulness. It is extremely good at what it's designed for. Highly recommend.

I was extremely desperate to find a good quality snow pusher since I live in Central NJ and snow has been a common occurrence this season. Every hardware store in my vicinity has been out of stock with shovels and salt, so I decided to get one from Amazon. At first my husband was extremely excited when we received and the quality of the unit was outstanding (as he stated, "this is old school, great brand, they should all be this good") but he thought it was quite heavy. He used it for about 5 minutes and he was exhausted, the weight of the shovel with the snow was too much for him to do a 75ft+ driveway (mind you he is a big "healthy" man). Unfortunately, he had to return and is trying to find another good quality shovel that is much lighter.

This shovel is not light weight it is not a heavy weighted one as well. Push shovels are just that you push it not like a shovel where you have to scoop up the snow and toss it. This is a well made sturdy snow push shovel the other one I have for 20 plus years is not built like this one I just purchased from Amazon, I did nit want to buy a plastic push shovel and some were not built sturdy 2 years in the market looking for a replacement thisvone from amazon went up in price in the late summer to $49.00 from $19.00 it thought about it I was going to go for the $49.00 price. I got an email about price changes it went back to $19.00 I scooped it up great price these push shovels save the pain in the Back, shoulders because you just pushit. And have a scoop shovel with you when clearing out snow once again GREAT SHOVEL WILL LAST ANOTHER 20 PLUS YEARS

I spent many hours trying to find a good pusher snow shovel with a steel blade, and found many very positive reviews about Garant shovels. I'd had a poly blade pusher for years, which lasted until the neighbor's boyfriend accidentally broke mine from trying to lift too much heavy snow with it (couldn't complain, as he was trying to be kind and helpful). I loved the way the pusher type shovels so easily plowed through the snow, as I am disabled. It's like a warm knife cutting through butter. I was delighted when my new Garant arrived. It seems very sturdy and has support braces from the blade to the handle. Good design. The blade looks like it will last decades. And, because the blade is steel, it will handle at least a fair load of snow, as well as being able to chop through ice & frozen snow clumps. I'm happy with my purchase. The only negative was then3 days delay in delivery.
