Master Lock 653D Locker Lock Set Your Own Combination Padlock, Gold, 1 Pack

This is the 2nd of these padlocks that I've purchased. The 1st lasted 8 years outside with an occasional spray of silicone for locks. Which I would do with any exterior padlock. As it's meant to be used indoors I'm amazed at it's durability & hoping this new one will be as good.It's easy to see the numbers & they turn smoothly with a little click. As it's on my gate I usually only have one hand free to open & close it, & that's really easy with this padlock. I can even use it in the dark.The instructions to set the combination are very simple. With this type of setting you must be aware not to inadvertently reset it by fully rotating the shank & moving the dial when you use the padlock. (More likely if you are doing it one handed.) However as the dial does not move so easily you are unlikely to do this by mistake & I've never had a problem.Hopefully this one is as good as the 1st.

Para tener una mejor precisión en seleccionar el número programado, está muy bien que hayan colocado unas "ventanas" para ver el número en el canto del candado, con lo que se evita el error de paralaje en este tipo de dispositivos. Por lo demás, parece buen candado y fácil de programar. El candado es de tamaño medio, yo lo utilizo para cajas de herramienta. Si se quiere usar para equipaje, es muy grande!

It works very well. Programing your new combination is very easy. Just follow the directions. When you lock it make sure to rotate the numbers otherwise it will not lock as it will be in the unlock position.I use it for my locker at my gym.I noticed a fellow member had a similar Master combo lock(not identical) so it seems people trust them.

I needed one that would be good quality and simple enough for a 6-7 years old kid for day camp. That one was perfect since it as color, easy to use, customizable code… the perfect first lock!

Muy funcional, lo uso para el casillero en el gym y la verdad es muy útil, da mucha seguridad con la combinación de 4 números y se ve difícil de romper por su tamaño, no es tan pequeño la verdad es de un tamaño regular y algo pesado, esto porque lo cargo en la maleta y se siente el peso, no es exagerado pero tampoco es ligero. Pero en general muy buena opción. Tal vez para el uso que le doy preferiría uno mas pequeño.
