Love having this kit around the shop, can't believe I hadn't bought one sooner. It took me finally getting a 3D printer to buy this kit and a nice crimper! (The <$20 orange/black handled one sold on AMZN under different names). Protip for beginners: 1) don't tin/solider the tips of wires before crimping on a pin! (It makes them brittle and the WILL snap off/fail) and 2) trim the stripped end of your wire down so the bare wire enters and bottoms out inside the pin, but MAKE SURE the largest set of "wings" (at the very back end of the pin) are wrapping around the unstripped, insulation of the wire. The smaller, inner set of wings will crimp around the bare wire, but the larger wings MUST crimp onto insulation, otherwise the crimp will fail.

JST does not make this type of connector with a 2.54mm pitch, JST R series connectors are the only JST connectors with a 2.54mm pitch. This means anything past a 2 pin connector will have issues. jht-mfg dot com Search by Connector Category - Crimp Style Connectors (Wire-to-Board type) page 4.

The housings are a little loose a fit for my liking, but work well enough, they do come in a very nice box though. I recommend a JST dedicated racheting crimp for the easiest connections.

Great selection of terminals which come in handy with my 3d printer for changing fans or the thermistor for the hot end. Also great to have for my small electric airplanes and quads.

I have used a number of different fittings over the years and these do the job, but as far as it goes even with a soldering iron with a fine point the pins quickly melted the socket and ended up out of position. Trashed half a dozen of these making a custom connector board for my 3d printer hot end fans. Thankfully there were plenty of them in the kit. They do the job but even with a light touch the pins melt the plastic FAST.

Very nice set. Just make sure you have a JST style crimped.

My propeller s on my drone damaged my 4s battery connector..These are a great replacement..

Thankfully I have not used any yet cuz they are a pain in the Butt to make But that is no fault of the product they are just small and hard to work with as they should be.
