Makoto Hand Forged Razor Sharp 41" Black Samurai Katana Sword - Hand Painted High Gloss Black Scabbard

Very well crafted and beautiful sword for the price! It would be nice to own an authentic Japanese made katana but then again I don't have $3,000 for one either lol. But I would have to say for being made in China it is well built, everything on the sword is nice, tight, and well fitted, nothing is loose at all. I also like the painting on the saya. I wanted to get a katana that was made of carbon steel rather than a cheap stainless steel sword. Not sure if this is really hand forged or machine made though. The sword is not razor sharp but is decent. For $53 this is a damn well crafted and good looking sword if you don't want to break your budget. Great for training or decoration. This is no toy though...! Always respect any weapon and utilize safety and responsible measures at all times.

Very surprised at the quality of this for that price. It’s a real sword, and very sturdy, there’s no doubt in my mind that this can be used on an unlucky intruder to deadly effects. It’s weighty which just adds to its authenticity. Like I stated, this price for this sword is very unusual, it should have cost about 180-220 US dollar imo. Sure it’s not as flashy with colors or designs but that’s not why I bought it.It’s sharp for the most part, like used chef’s knife more so, you can trim a plan tree or severe a finger quite easily with this.

I've had this sword for over a year now. It's way too top-heavy and didn't come very sharp (on top of being very difficult to sharpen with a wet stone). Beyond this though, you really can't beat the quality for the price. I've purchased another Makoto for a friend and it was much better than this one, so perhaps I just got unlucky. The wrap is well done and the decor is great. Overall I am very pleased with it.

For the money, this sword is really nice. I got mine and immediately took it apart, replaced the handguard and wrap just for fun. It is sharpened and polished very neatly, I am super impressed. If I take it out and chop some branches, and it breaks, I will be back to change my review... But for now this sword seems awesome.

Very pretty sword! It came with oil on it to avoid rusting. It was decently sharp, I practiced by chopping up some peppers and the slice was pretty clean with a good amount of force behind my swipe. Definitely didn’t expect to be so satisfied with a cheaply priced sword but it was well worth it!

Bought this for my son for Christmas. Big knife and gun man! Checked it out when it came in the mail. The ad says 41 inches over all, but you don’t realize how long that is until you lay it across a double bed and it comes within a foot of reaching the other side! Is very well made and my son will love the hand painted cranes on the scabbard. And is truly razor sharp!

It is an excellent buy, Value for money is great!! Quality is excellent. Plus it arrived 5 days before it was due. Had the sword oil on it to prevent rusting and etc. Packaged very well, even the slip cover on it was good quality. Highly recommend!!
