Crap
Useless printer, only has settings for glossy paper, feed tray only has 1 lip so paper goes in winky, basic B&W copy takes ages. Won't connect to computer wirelessly or using USB. Scanner is therefore useless as it doesn't scan to card neither. No wonder it's cheap. If I'd found this out earlier and kept the receipt it'd go back. Avoid

They only want to sell ink
The printer itself is fine. I can't live with Epson's aggressive ink sales strategy. If a color cartridge is low on ink, the whole printer/scanner becomes a brick. You can't print in black and white until you insert a new magenta cartridge. You can't even scan a photo if there's a low-ink warning. The cartridges run out of ink in the blink of an eye, and the software won't recognize non-original cartridges. No one around here sells original cartridges; I would have to order them online. At least half a dozen times I've had to use someone else's printer or scanner because mine was holding me hostage for an unnecessary ink purchase.I can see this printer would end up costing me a fortune in ink if I don't throw it out.

Awful print quality!
Just awful.Bought this at a local store, not on Amazon, so no critic intended to Amazon service, but the printer is just disappointing. It looks good, feels smart and resonably solid, but it's been a pain from moment one.It took me half the afternoon to get it all set up and connected, but maybe I am just goofy that way when it comes to gadgetry, so, my bad.It is supposed to connect to the computer via wi-fi and that works fine for printing, but apparently you need a usb cable for scanning. This is not included in the package, so make sure you have one (of the appropriate kind). What does disappoint however, is that the print quality is just plain bad. The colours are chalky (that may be the paper fault) and distinctly off, kinda greyish and bluish (what is vivid orange on screen turns out salmon, aqua green just plain chilly grey, bright warm white turns usually greyish too). The picture is every bit as crisp as a puddle of cold soup on a carpet, with soft smudgy edges in some places (not all). The paler parts of pictures, on close inspection, are often faintly banded or strangely spotted (don't tell me to clean the jets, please, this printer is brand new!). What is worse, when the printer is set to print full page (without white borders) the quality becomes much, much, much worse (despite all other settings being identical), and the whole printed surface loses all contrast and clarity, whole areas become grey splotches with hardly any detail and the picture becomes practically veiled with brownish-grey all over. This is the most mysterious thing of all.So far I used good quality matte photo paper (I dislike glossy, but I will try it next and comment below on the results) and the ink that came with the printer itself. The printer comes with "starter" cartdriges, smaller than the normal ones, so you should add the price of a full set of cartridges to the price of the printer (about 30-35€). It is quite a bit more expensive than it looks! In theory you should also only use Epson own paper which costs in the vicinity of 1€ per sheet. The scanner seems fine, although (maybe to compensate you for the greyshness of the prints), it seems to generate jpgs with a somewhat higher contrast than the paper originals.Attached are some scans I did of two prints each of 2 photos from my computer: all settings, paper and ink identical, but the picture was once printed "borderless" and once with borders. You can see how detail and contrast went out of the window (on the whole surface). I suppose you can twiddle around in the advanced settings until colour and contrast are more realistic, and glossy paper will improve crispness and detail, but the staggering difference in quality between bordeless and normal is a complete mystery. If anyone understands how to fix this problem, feel free to leave me a comment.

Ciao!
