This is a very well built tool. I used it the day it arrived. The shipping packaging was the best I've ever received for a product. I don't use this kind of tool everyday but it helped me locate a septic tank the first day. Having the ability to replace the tip is a great feature. If you need to locate anything underground this is well worth the price.

This is a well made tool that works well in helping you find certain underground utilities like septic tanks, water and sewer lines while excavating so you don’t accidentally hit them. The point is pretty sharp so you do have to be careful not to puncture anything. This is a tool that I’m glad to have and I should have bought one years ago.

The only dislike I had was the pointy poker that screws on the bottom somehow came off my probe...

You can tell from the box it arrives in that you're getting quality. Screw it together and start probing. Slightly larger tip allows easy shaft penetration without unnecessary friction. Has good feel when hitting material.

Very robust solid heavy tool that will last for 50 + years with replaceble tips. The packing alone for shipment was 'engineered' and exteremly robust. 'Throw it off the roof 10 times' type boxing for shipment. Smart company all the way around from engineering to shipping. Refreshing to see good stuff well packed !
