I remember seeing this movie as a child and couldn't wait to get it on tape. I recorded it years ago on VHS from TV with the correct soundtrack "Little Fishies" song. I got it prerecorded on VHS in the 80's and was disappointed to find the soundtrack had been altered for no apparent reason as described in other reviews. I just ordered this DVD version even though the soundtrack is apparently still altered...it is still a very good David Janssen movie and a classic action film from 70's TV (I believe it was a made for TV movie). Great story line and helicopter chase sequences, the ending is still a heartbreaker (I'll not give it away!). If you've never seen this, it is definitely worth the price and I'm glad I've found it available on DVD. If you've seen it before and don't think you want it with the altered soundtrack, it is still worth the price as it is a great movie...I think at this point the original version is probably lost forever...except for those of us lucky enough to have recorded it off TV and still have our old VHS tapes!

Better than expected picture quality for it being a TV movie from 1973. Still a good movie, with a story that couldn't play out today due to technology. Unexpected though was the fact that it's a made on demand video. Works in a DVD or Blu Ray player just fine, but made with a computer in mind. Still, a good find for the money as the original DVD is a bit pricey now.

I usually do not comment on Amazon media. But, I remember seeing this as a teenager when first run on television and could not believe how well done it was even then compared to typical made-for-TV movie fare. Now a pilot, reflecting on its budget and the plot's incorporation of worldview changes, it is remarkable. It does not hurt to have David Janssen, cops, robbers, helicopters, and a pretty girl.The only negative characteristic is that it appears to be a video capture of a local television station instead of a master copy. However, perhaps this is to the viewer's benefit as I believe that the original WWII-era music is incorporated here whereas other media outlets appear to have edited out the music due to copyright contention.

Being a fan of Famed Actor David Janssen, I saw the movie a while ago and bought my own copy. This is a story of a Newspaper helicopter "Eye in the Sky Traffic Reporter" who while flying witnesses a Bank Robbery, reports it to the police and then the adventure starts as the robber take a hostage. Being a Old Time Fighter Pilot, Action is his name and trouble is his game. A chase pursues on the ground but a twist of fate happens as teh bad guys have their own helicopter to escape in and piloted by some former Viet Niem Helicopter Pilots. Great movie and Great aviation scenes.

This came in amazing condition with no damage. Protected well during travel and in brand new condition.

They both seem to have some fuzzy points and I did not compare that too much. Others complained about the missing footage and that is why you can actually get a better selection for free sometimes. Netflix and Amazon do not care about old, nostalgic, classic movies. If they did you would have a portion of content similar to TMC...but cutting out 8 minutes, especially when you leave dialogue in limbo...that is simply substandard. I get this free with amazon prime but Bezos doesn't care. A 'classic' here is Beverly Hills Cop 2...you'll never see Treasure of the Sierra Madre on this low class venue.

My favourite film

I had seen this film before and wanted to rewatch it, but it is such poor quality it was soul destroying. The dubbing is laughable, the film keeps freezing and you didn't get to hear him singing because of the terrible music override. I really wish I hadn't bought it.
