My laptop needed a new power supply, (Battery charger), The original last 15 month. Didn't want to spend the big bucks for the direct HP replacement. This fits the bill, all the specs are the same, part numbers, they have listed say it will work. Plus it has a little green power light that shows its on, (hard to see depending on the angle), that the original didn't have. Only thing left is the reliability, time will tell on that aspect of it,

Update: I emailed PowerSource about the failed unit. They immediately responded by saying they would send a replacement. We received the replacement very quickly and it works. I am very impressed with their customer service! Original Review: We bought this charger in early August to have an extra one at home and it just stopped working yesterday. So we got slightly more than two months use out of it before it died. The return window has closed so there isn't much we can do. But if you want a charger that works more than a couple of months, I would suggest you look elsewhere. Very disappointed in the quality and would not recommend to anyone.

A month into using the extension still working as it should, I say this because I bought another replacement extension earlier and went out less than 24 hours of work, and when I ask for a for to be replace I was told no, that we got what we got and that was it.This is a good product.
