The 'Chocolate' aspect needs improvement.
This product, manufactured by brand āBeaniesā, is āInstant Coffee Drink Mixā in āMint Chocolateā variant. Its country of origin is the UK. Its list of ingredients is as follows: Soluble Coffee, Artificial Flavouring Substances (Mint Chocolate Flavour). āInstructionsā pertaining to the productās usage are as follows: One heaped teaspoon per cup, add freshly boiled water. As a consumer, I am glad that a āclear-cutā option for preparing āFlavoured Black Coffeeā has been provided for. Upon unwrapping the product, a noticeable āChocolateā-based āaromaā was experienced. However, the prepared beverage did not necessarily emit any āaromaā. On an alternate basis, I decided to prepare the beverage with freshly boiled water and pre-boiled dairy-based āTonedā Milk. I did notice significant differences when āexperimentingā with the ābaseā of the beverage. The āCoffeeā dissolved easily, not forming any lump(s) whatsoever. I did not add any sweetener to the beverage, irrespective of the ābaseā. One may or may not choose to incorporate a sweetener of choice to the beverage. I cannot state if or not sweeteners other than āstandardā āWhite Sugarā such as āBrown Sugarā, āHoneyā, āSteviaā, and/or even āJaggeryā and āArtificial Sweetenersā shall work well with respect to this product. āBaseā such as āPlant-Basedā āNon-Dairyā āMilk Alternativesā and/or even āLactose-Free Milkā may or may not work well either. In my humble opinion, the brand itself can, in an attempt to cater to varying needs of consumers, shed ālightā on sweeteners and/or ābaseā (other than āWaterā) optimal for the product. When dairy-based āTonedā Milk was the ābaseā of the beverage (in my own experience): The āMintā itself could not be distinctly identified as āSpearmintā, āWintergreenā, or āPeppermintā for instance. It was not āCandy Caneā-like either. It was noticeable in terms of a ācoolingā sensation experienced whilst and post-consuming the beverage. The āChocolateā came across as if based off on āChocolateā-flavoured confectionery products instead of actually being āChocolateā-based. It initially coated oneās mouth: as if being waxy or oily. Thankfully, this mouthfeel dissipated as the āCoffeeā component itself took over. The āChocolateā, in combination with the āCoffeeā, did not lead to a āMochaā-like āCoffeeā beverage-based experience. This is not a āconā per se, but must be known of. The āCoffeeā itself was āmoderateā in terms of strength, with its characteristic ābitternessā slightly experienced in terms of aftertaste. As a āwholeā, the beverage was not āacidicā. It was soothing and ālightā on oneās palate. When freshly boiled water was the ābaseā of the beverage (in my own experience): The āMintā itself was even more noticeable as a āflavourā as well as in terms of a ācoolingā sensation. It was, still, not distinctly identifiable as āSpearmintā, āWintergreenā, or āPeppermintā for instance. It was not āCandy Caneā-like either. That said, it acted, rightfully, as one of the ākeyā components of the beverage. The āChocolateā was not noticeable at all. It seemed to have āevaporatedā or disappeared altogether. A āMochaā-like āCoffeeā beverage-based experience was not the case here either. The āCoffeeā itself was even āstrongerā, with its characteristic ābitternessā noticeably felt in terms of aftertaste. Depending on personal preference, the product can offer a sense of āversatilityā. Overall, keeping oneās expectations at a realistic level, this product can be tried out.
