The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy (PG-13) - DVD

I'm really appreciative for Rose and Thyme's supply. First, I ordered Lord of the Rings and it arrived earlier than expected. I examined each of the movie discs before playing them and found they looked to be in good shape. However, on one of the discs for Two Towers, there was a very small, almost imperceptible, nick that didn't look like much to me but the dvd player didn't like it and got hung up. I contacted Rose and Thyme about the disc and they sent a replacement right away, no cost and no need to return the other disc. It was great to work with them, they are great on their service, and yes, Middle Earth was saved.

I cannot express how excited I am! I have always wanted the extended editions, but they were usually so expensive. I bought these from Rose & Thyme, and excluding the outer box (which in my humble opinion isn't really necessary) these are perfect! Each movie is in its own box, and the snap case slides out and unfolds. Three movies, four discs each... I'm going to have a great time with these!!

I bought these movies because I am a huge lord of the rings fan. All 3 movies are in excellent condition. They all play without any issues. To buy this set new would have cost at least 250 dollars. Well worth the money. Plus the shipping was quick and very well packed.

This boxset is probably the greatest collection of movies ever created! First of all the aesthetics of the box itself is something worth noting. The material feels high quality and I love the faded look it has. Now onto the movies themselves. If you are a fan of the series already you will fall even deeper in love with extended editions, which add several hours more to the films. Also the bonus features are very extensive and show alot of the behind the scenes and other interesting bonus material. All in all well worth the purchase!

The plastic clips which hold the DVD's were damaged in shipping. When I opened the package all of them were shifting around. None of them are held in place. I will need to figure out a way to keep them from getting damaged. The videos are certainly entertaining.

Excellent! The seller also threw in a DVD of the Starwars trilogy bonus material as a gift. What a nice surprise! This is a Christmas gift for my daughter and she will be very happy.

I received my set of the Lotr trilogy extended edition dvds from Rose & Thyme NYC*USA. The Fellowship dvd was good for the most part with a few scratches and hiccups here and there, but did not alter the watching experience. The Two Towers, however, was terrible. I had to skip multiple scenes entirely because the scratches were so bad that the movie stopped and you couldn’t even fast forward past them. I even brought the discs to a store and had them clean the discs, and put them in a machine that would “scratch off” a thin layer of the disc so that the surface scratches would be taken off. I tried again with the two towers but the movie was still in terrible condition. I haven’t gotten to see how the Return of the King is yet, but I’m not excited to see in what condition those discs are.

Love these movies, I bought them used and they had no scratches and partially still in the package as well
