Great story to teach this significant event in time. Lots of detail but accessible to 5-7 year old when read to them.

Beautiful book

The first thing I noticed about this book were the beautiful bright colours and fabulous illustrations on the cover, it was just so eye catching and I'm glad to report that this continued throughout the book. We were treated to wonderful detail on every page, E always loves to talk about what is going on in the illustrations and these gave us so much to discuss!As a parent, it was great to know that not only was I reading a story to my child but also teaching her about a part of history. This brings me to the end of the book and a page titled The Wright Brothers' Lives and Legacy.While E wasn't particularly interested in this part (she's two, she just wanted to go back to the bright pictures), myself and N enjoyed finding out about Orville and Wilbur's lives in more detail.This book has become a regular read in our house and not just at bedtime either, E likes N to read it to her when she comes home from school.This is a lovely children's book, it's educational but can also hold a two-year-old's interest which is no mean feat!
