Easy to pair with my Insta360 X5. Works greats and easy to mount using provided bands (o-rings). I've mounted the remote on the handlebar grip or around the selfie stick. Haven't tested the remotes effective distance from camera yet.

I love the Insta360 ecosystem, and this remote certainly lives up to my expectations. I have used it with both my Go Ultra and X5 cameras. Pairing the remote was easy, and I was impressed with the Bluetooth range. One of my favorite features is that the remote's LED flashes red when it's in recording mode.

I wanted a remote to trigger the camera while it is mounted outside of the vehicle. This activates video or photo mode. It toggles between front facing or rear facing. It also toggles between one camera vs two camera (360 degree effect). One criticism I have is that the charging port cover is a challenge to put into place. It does come with 2 elastic bands to affix the remote onto a large 3m or a smaller 1m selfie stick. There is a status light that notifies you when it is on or recording. You can also power up or power down the camera and remote by prolonged depressing the button. This is only a one button remote. Size is convenient and compact but it can be a negative as it could get potentially lost. Battery life has been respectable as I have used it for a few hours without recharging it. It’s a solid simplified remote system. I use this on an Insta360 X5. I’m pleased with it. Sometimes, I have to pair it again. After shutting it off and then on, again. If the battery is removed from the camera it will have to be paired again, through the menu system.

Great addition, now I don't have to pull over to turn the camera on/off when riding. I'm not sure about battery life and the manual clearly states NOT water proof and to keep it dry, even says to avoid wiping with a wet cloth. I'm interested to see how long the battery lasts but it functions well, is very simple and turns on the X4 from complete sleep with a double tap of the button. The handle bar mount is a simple rubber band so I'm not sure how that'll hold up but it seems to be a great value for the money!

The included base allows for mounting to most selfie sticks. Very useful for when using the very long selfie sticks as it gives a good way to start/stop recordings as well as take photos, with the lights letting you know if the camera is recording . Makes it simple to keep track of whether or not the camera is running when mounted to the back of my motorcycle. No issues getting the remote connected, and it stays connected for the entire duration of use. Does offer remote wake-up of the camera, though that comes at a small cost to the camera battery life as the bluetooth needs to stay on to detect the remote.

Awesome piece of kit if you have an Insta camera. Absolutely tiny! Was a bit concerned that because of its size that I might lose it as it was destined to sit on the handlebars of my motorcycle but fitted securely and was not an issue. Switched the camera on remotely as well as using to start/stop recording. Highly recommended and worth the extra over some other generic brand.

C'est vraiment l'outil qu'il me fallait pour filmer à moto. Je l'utilise avec une caméra Inta360 X5. Je peux allumer, lancer l'enregistrement, puis tout éteindre avec un seul bouton. Comme ma moto ne possède que des guidons bracelet, je l'ai fixé sur la poignée gauche avec la base magnétique et les sangles élastiques fournies pour rendre la télécommande accessible directement avec mon pouce. Voilà comment je l'utilise : Au départ la caméra est éteinte. J'appuie deux fois sur le bouton, la caméra s'allume et enclenche aussitôt l'enregistrement. Une fois la séquence terminée, j'appuie une seule fois sur le bouton et l'enregistrement s'arrête puis c'est la caméra qui s'éteint. Le gros avantage, c'est que j'économise sur la batterie mais aussi sur la capacité de stockage de ma carte microSD. Il ne me fallait pas plus que ce petit bouton pour lancer et arrêter mes enregistrements quand je voulais et je ne regrette pas mon achat. Attention tout de même, et c'est là que j'ai galéré, les firmwares de la caméra et de la télécommande doivent être à jour pour qu'ils soient compatibles entre eux. Mais une fois tout fonctionne. En conclusion c'est une télécommande simple, pratique, abordable et efficace pour utiliser une caméra Insta360 en toute sécurité.

Ich nutze die Insta360 X5 auf meinem Motorrad. Anfangs habe ich versucht, die Kamera primär über die Sprach- und Gestensteuerung zu bedienen. Das hat in der Praxis leider nur teilweise funktioniert – besonders bei der Gestensteuerung brauchte es oft mehrere Versuche. Das ständige Kontrollieren, ob die X5 nun wirklich aufnimmt oder nicht, lenkt beim Fahren einfach viel zu sehr ab und stellt aus meiner Sicht ein echtes Sicherheitsrisiko dar. Deshalb habe ich mir diese Mini-Fernbedienung zugelegt, und das war die beste Entscheidung für mein Setup. Starten, Aufnehmen und Ausschalten funktionieren jetzt auf Knopfdruck absolut zuverlässig. Ein riesiger Vorteil im Alltag: Man spart enorm viel Akku und Speicherkapazität auf der MicroSD-Karte, da es keine unnötigen Aufnahmelaufzeiten mehr gibt, weil die Kamera den Stopp-Befehl per Geste mal wieder nicht erkannt hat. Neben dem massiven Plus an Sicherheit und der vollen Konzentration auf die Straße, lässt sich die kleine Fernbedienung auch super praktisch an den verschiedenen Insta-Selfie-Sticks nutzen. Mein Tipp zur Befestigung (siehe Bilder): Da die mitgelieferte Standardbefestigung für meine Bedürfnisse am Motorrad nicht optimal war, habe ich etwas improvisiert. Ich habe mir einen kleinen, schlichten Schubladengriff aus dem Baumarkt besorgt und diesen mittels eines starken doppelseitigen Klebepads stabil oben auf dem Gehäuse meines Carpuride W602BS (CarPlay f. BMW-Motorrad) befestigt. Die Insta360 Mini-Fernbedienung wurde dann ganz einfach mit zwei Kabelbindern bombenfest an diesem Griff fixiert. So ist die Fernbedienung immer perfekt im Sichtfeld, quasi direkt beim Navigationsgerät, ohne das Cockpit zusätzlich zu überladen. Fazit: Wer die Kamera beim Fahren bedienen will, kommt an der Fernbedienung kaum vorbei. Für die Sicherheit und gegen die Ablenkung extrem sinnvoll investiertes Geld – besonders, wenn man sich eine so geniale Halterung basteln kann!

Al principio no conectaba el control remoto con mi Insta 360 x3, pero después de contactar con el servicio técnico de Insta360 me facilitaron una actualización de firmware y el problema se ha resuelto.

インスタ360X5に自撮り棒。最初はくるくる回していましたが確実性が低いときも結構あるので引き寄せて本体操作していました。 ミニリモコンは自撮り棒に付けると操作性がいいのと収まりがいいので多少高額とは思いますが純正を買ってよかったです。 自撮り棒にワイヤレスマイクを併用しているのなら、リモコンはあった方が絶対いいです。 バイクで頑張らないと手が届かない場所に設置していますが、ミニリモコンをハンドル回りに付けたおかげで安全運転で撮影できています。 Oリングが一本しか入ってこないので30mm外径 25mm内径 2.5mm幅位の安いの買って予備を念のため持ち歩いています。
