POLY & BARK Gio Modern Leather Ottoman Pouf (Cognac Tan)

We recently redecorated our entire downstairs at our home. We wanted something that was more aesthetically pleasing than our old, worn out, giant sectional; so we decided to go back to a traditional couch and oversized chair. At first, we were going to buy a coffee table; but we wanted something to put our feet up on since we were accustomed to having recliners. After spending days visiting furniture stores and hours searching online we came across this POLY & BARK Gio Modern Leather Ottoman Pouf. It was a little more than I initially wanted to spend; but it appeared to be high quality and had the look we wanted....so we ordered it. This was hard for me to order a piece of furniture online because I am one who likes to see it, touch it, and feel it in person. But, we took a chance. I am SO GLAD that we ordered this! It is a beautiful piece of furniture. The leather is very soft, yet seems to be quite durable. The wood finish looks good and has no discoloring or imperfections. We did put some leather conditioner on it and it may have darkened very slightly; but it is still a great looking piece of furniture. The height is perfect to kick your feet up on or to use as a coffee table. We use a large round coffee table/serving tray when we need to serve drinks or snacks for guests. Everybody that visits remarks how beautiful this ottoman/table is. It really was the perfect item to finish the room. It is well worth the asking price and will bring a little class and character to your room....and its very comfortable and useful as well!

It could be used as footrest, extra seating when guests are over, and even as a stylish coffee table substitute (maybe not the last two if you use it as a footrest first)! It’s great for pretty much everything! High Quality The quality really stands out. The leather feels luxurious and smells amazing. The stitching is perfect, and the wooden legs and frame look beautiful and sturdy. Super Comfortable It’s really comfy to sit on or prop your feet up. The leather is soft and adds a touch of class to our space. It feels like a timeless piece that belongs in any stylish home. Built to Last This ottoman is built to last. The legs and hardware were stored in a zippered pocket underneath, and the included Allen wrench made it a quick job. We had it set up in no time! I purchased this Ottoman for a vacation rental that I was decorating for an interior design client of mine. I received this ottoman without an issues and was able to easily assemble within minutes of receiving. I placed this item in the Living Room, that has two sofas. I feel like the Leather and quality of the material used is great - no issues at all. Exactly what I expected - not too expensive, not to cheap, perfect for a vacation rental. There is no storage in the ottoman. It cannot be folded, but is light enough in weight to be moved easily on rug or hard floor. I would not recommend sitting on this ottoman, might not hold a lot of weight. I would only use for to prop up feet or legs, to use with a decorative or food tray to eat / snack on. No odor that I can recall. Cushioning is actually firm which is nice, as anything placed on the ottoman will not sink in or slide off ottoman easily.

We previously had a square PU leather storage ottoman to accompany our traditional sectional sofa. I thought I would try round, and wanted real leather and especially this color which I call saddle but is called cognac tan. We have one great room where we watch TV, sometimes dine, and I wanted something that would hold up. We spend a lot of time in this room! I was slightly worried about it getting wet and possibly discolored with use, wine, water, etc., so I did order Leather Honey leather conditioner as well since it promised water resistance. The ottoman shipped quickly wrapped in a double cardboard box and just some thin soft packing paper. Nevertheless it came without flaws. The legs are stored inside a different zippered compartment at the bottom of the ottoman. I was a little worried at first about applying the conditioner. It quickly darkened the leather, but as it dried it lightened up. You can see the photos of the before and after. First picture is untreated. Subsequent photos show the Leather Honey conditioner. We used a tray on our old ottoman for glassware, TV remote, etc. so I returned that wooden tray so you can see the scale. I put a throw underneath the tray, though I don’t think I have to do that. I’ve seen this type of leather in many homes and part of the ambiance of this leather is the worn look or patina that occurs with use. It is a look I like but not everyone prefers the scruffy look. This is the type of leather where scuffs and scratches are almost desirable, but others may not appreciate that aesthetic. Nevertheless I like how it looks post treatment and the leather has a wee bit more shine or glow than when it came out of the box. We plan to put up our feet on this and use the ottoman. The stitching is very nice and I love the corona circle/triangle pattern. It looks very high end! For those who received this with some marks on it, and were unhappy about that, I would advise using the conditioner which should even out any splotchiness.

Our room is very small so we couldn't fit a larger ottoman, but this one is perfect. Nicely sized, it would do well with most furniture. Afraid it was going to be too big for the space, but the round shape looks fantastic. We had a metal and glass coffee table before, but everyone just put their feet on it and complained that it was uncomfortable. This is sturdy, and wears well. Best of all it is comfortable. There is a 3 year old jumping on it, spilling things and sitting on the edge daily. Our dog seems to love using it as a spring board to get to the floor from the sofa. It is not scratching easily so that is yet another plus. Highly recommend.
