Good
Finally found the usb camera i needed after a few bad tries. This small camera is perfect as a discrete security camera. The sony image sensor is great in low light and can pick up infrared light when there is no visable light.I bought a 180 degree fish eye lens that ends up seeing slightly over 180 degree when paired with this camera. The metal housing is nice, though i plan on modifying it slightly and painting it.The included usb cable is very long, though i havent measured it.Surprisingly though the description says it has it i was fully expecting it to not have a microphone because it was in the housing. As it turns out it does have a built in mic and even enclosed works pretty well. I plan on drilling out a hole for it anyway for better sound.Works well with linux and in my specific case raspberry pi 3.The image quality is surprisingly good for a 2 megapixel camera, and so far i highly recommend it.

Ok camera but possibly defective?
I was looking to upgrade my 5-year-old wide-angle Genius camera ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0080CE5M4/ ) with something a little more wide angle and better video in low-light. I was disappointed when I saw the video output of this camera was a fisheye circle like looking through a peep hole, instead of a 16:9 shape of the previous camera, but I can work with that I guess. The low-light ability is definitely an improvement. Though the thing that bugs me the most is every second or two the picture flashes green or black or has some kind of video distortion, similar to what you might expect on a TV in some dystopian movie. I use the camera as a security camera and it's frustrating that it's constantly flashing. Has anyone else had this issue? Not sure if I should try to return/replace it. Besides that, I noticed it gets pretty warm to the touch.

Adjustments easily made to saturation
Pros: Vert small. Manual optical zoom. Manual focus - allows for items in focus and background to be out of focus. Crisp picture. Adjustments easily made to saturation, contrast, sharpness, gain and gamma.Cons: No autofocus option. Narrow focus depth of field.Other thoughts: I am using this camera to shoot video of miniatures during a D&D stream. It works well, I just wish the focus range when focused was slightly longer.

Very Disappointing
This product was bought for, and reviewed by, Soul Cooke. I bought this to use as a webcam. The most extreme problem I faced, after the many problems involved in setting / mounting the camera, is that the lens was blurry. This is my best attempt to focus on a piece of paper (with physical therapy instructions) sitting on my desk. The image got blurrier when I adjusted the focus in either direction. After further inspection, the lens is noticeably streaked. First I tried just a regular microfiber cloth. That didn't work, so I tried a moist towelette designed to clean camera lenses. There was no change.Additionally, there was some crud around the lens when it was fully extended. I assume this is a lube to let the lens move in the housing. I have no idea what else it could be. Perhaps this is what got all over the lens? The lens didn't have protective plastic adhered to itself, likely because of the difficulty removing it would be since it retracts into the housing. It did have a flimsy cap over the housing that fell off without me doing anything to it.Anyway, the thing is unusable and I am returning it.---As I mentioned before, there were many other problems I encountered while setting up the camera.First, there's no place to attach the camera to a tripod. Every other camera I've come across has this, even Go Pro type cameras have multiple cases and attachments to connect to a tripod. So I had borrowed some Go Pro hardware to mount it. The camera comes with screws, but I have no idea how it is supposed to be mounted. And there are no instructions for it.Second, the screws for the stand are extremely hard to work with. I needed to use tiny screwdrivers from a computer repair / soldering kit and STILL stripped the screw head. If you don't have these specialized screwdrivers I think you're out of luck. When I had adjusted the stand how I wanted it and screwed the screws as far as I could get them, the stand still moved around.Third, the manual does not mention you need to remove the fixing screws, which are also so tight they require a screwdriver. In fact, the manual makes it appear that you turn the screws in order to make the adjustments. The camera didn't come with a microfiber cloth. I don't know, this just seemed weird to me. I mean, I have enough microfiber cloth from other camera and glasses purchases over the years so I don't need another one.---So that's 45 minutes of my life I'll never get back, and then another however much to drop it off at a return location.

The unit does very well in dimly lit circumstances< less great in the full Florida sun with shadows
I totally like the size, I wish the unit was independent of the heavy metal case but it isn't. For low light it works great. It also has an amazing field of vision with only the absolute outer edges going a bit blurred but it to be expected. Though it is good for low light, I've found that when used for video in low light it does a terrible job of displaying items that are more than 10 meters away. It also doesn't render light (such as taillights) colours well in the dark. It transitions from dark to light and back very quickly. I'm using this with a phone so there are some limitations. I find though that my dashcam camera does a better job for sharpness than this though this is rated higher for megapixels

Great product and plug & play!
I ordered this product to allow for full room visibility for Web Meetings. The product works great. The picture is clearly transmitted and natural. This item is truly plug and play.

Good camera
I bought several of those cameras to setup in classrooms for remote learning. The cameras work really well and require no special setup.
