I read lots of reviews and went with this. It's great that it goes into the seatbelt slot as well as having the hook/clamp. But it's just slightly smaller than I expected based on the description. It does need to be somewhat short so they can't fly forward with much momentum, though on a standard sized collie, there's not much room to move. Granted, with ours, he spins in circles and jumps all over the place when he's in the car (if only it made him shut up, too, I'd give it a trillion stars). We tried two previous products, many years in the past, one that clamped into the seatbelt holder (which he ate through) and one into the seatbelt itself (where he chewed through the seatbelt...bloody free spirit!). Recently, we realised the strap clamp in the boot of the hatchback could be used tie him down, if only we had something akin to kevlar cables. So we looked up at the reviews and bought this. Yeah, it works. Doesn't shut him up at all, but he can't bite through it. That's amazing, so for that, I'd definitely recommend it. But definitely measure from your dog's neck to wherever you are going to clamp it in and do it at an angle Remember, they need to move somewhat, but not have so much slack they injure themselves. And think about the harness. If you use a collar, that could be bad in an accident. If you use a harness, measure to the hook on the harness, which will be on the top (usually) of the harness, not the bottom (unless you hook into a ring near the leg...which can help).

This is great for my dog. Very strict she's not chewed through it. Just the right length. Only issue is my car is weird and the seat belt buckle doesn't fit my middle seat (between my children's car seats) as it seems to be too big for it but works in all the other clips

Wouldn't buy more of these. Weight limit misleading. This was the 3rd and last as 20kg dog who is excited and moved around a lot breaks it - the part that attaches to the seatbelt pulls out eentually

I have a border collie pup who's been eating all of his tethers, so I thought I'd give this a go. It has lasted a month so far and is still going strong. I can see faint chew marks where he's had a go at chewing it but it's not going to break anytime soon

I have a 5 month old Schnoodle puppy who chewed completely through our last fabric belt. We’re now using the chew proof one, and so far he’s only been able to chew the plastic coating on the outside but gets bored after a while. Planning on ordering a second for a separate car!
