Love the Custom Gauge series!
For years I swore by Ernie Ball's Skinny Top-Heavy Bottom strings (and similar strings from other brands), but as I started playing around with different tones and sounds on my guitar I found that those strings weren't doing it for me anymore. In particular I wasn't satisfied with having a plain G string, and so I started to experiment. I found out about these strings thanks to a guy named Tom Linton, who is a guitarist for the band Jimmy Eat World (he uses the Mediums). I experimented with 3 of the 4 gauges featured in this line-up (Medium, Light, and Extra Light). All are great and recommended. The Mediums in particular are great if you're into heavier genres of rock and/or like drop tunings. My personal favorite, though, are the Extra Lights. I play a lot of punk rock type stuff and these strings are still chunky enough for power chords, but still light enough for some soloing stuff. My favorite thing about these strings is that the G string is wound, even for the Extra Lights, which makes for some nice, full sounding power chords. These strings are just what I needed. I'll be sticking to these for the time being. Thanks Ernie Ball!

Great strings great price.
I use them on a couple of vintage hollow body electrics. I like the sound and the feelof them. There are only a few choices out there for 11 gauge with a wound g string. The price is right too.

I like color coded strings better.
Strings seem good once they are on. I have a Ric 330-12 and it is a nightmare to string. The fact that the ball ends are the same color makes life that much more difficult. I'm sure if I replaced the strings once a week I'd get a rhythm down, but next time I won't buy these.

Wound G makes all the difference
I am playing these strings on a semi-hollow body (Ibanez AS73), and the tuning has remained rock-solid. Like so many others I was constantly struggling with the G going out of tune. Not only have these strings resolved that with the wound G, there seems to be an added 'thickness' to the overall sound, as well as a resonance and sustain that is simply beautiful. I was wary because of reviews I'd read about breaking strings, but so far I've had none of that, thankfully. The wound G comes with the trade off of not being very 'bendy', so you will have to work a little harder on some riffs depending on your style of play. But my initial response was a resounding, "where have these been my whole life!?" I don't leave many reviews but had to in this case because it was such a game changer. I hope you try them and enjoy them.
