Review of the original SIX GUN CHILI MIXIN’S (4 OZ)As a single guy, I like to make enough chili in a slow cooker that will last me 4-5 days. My favorite was the STUBBS CHILI FIXIN COOKIN SAUCE, but for some reason, it’s been discontinued.I’ve tried several other brands of chili mix, but I’ve been very disappointed. I read an article that recommended SIX GUN CHILI MIXIN’S, but it was not sold in my local grocery stores. I ended up buying it from AMAZON. I almost didn’t because of the high cost ($14.95 for a pack of 2). Since I hadn’t had any luck finding a good pre-packaged chili mix, I decided to roll-the-dice and buy it.There is no instructions on how to prepare the SIX GUN CHILI MIXIN’S in a slow cooker, so I decided to experiment and this worked for me:2 pounds of ground beef / turkey (brown and drain grease)1 green pepper (diced)1 onion (diced)1 can (14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes (do not drain)1 can (14.5 oz) tomato sauce or 1 cup beef broth or another can of diced tomatoesAdd everything to a slow cooker including the SIX GUN CHILI MIXIN’S (except the pouch of masa flour) and cook for 8 hours on low.After six hours, stir in the masa flour.After eight hours, serve over rice.The SIX GUN CHILI MIXIN’S is very good and the chili taste better the next day after all the seasoning gets infused and improves the flavor of the chili meat. It does have some "heat" so add less of the chili mix if you don't like it hot and spicy.Although it is expensive, I haven’t yet found a do-it-yourself chili mix that I like. Rather than try and experiment making a DIY chili mix recipe until I find one that I like, the SIX GUN CHILI MIXIN’S is probably cheaper in the long run since it is a guaranteed tasty mix.I’d buy it again.

This mix makes the best chili! Flavorful without being too spicy.Seller was great. Package was delivered two days early. Would definitely buy from this seller again.

Even if I follow the most foodie-esque of blogs, their spice mix doesn’t cut it.This pre-mixed spice packs provides the flavors AND thickeners that turn a mediocre veggie chilli into restarting quality ina second. They even include two different levels of hot-spice packets to make it even more crazy good.Use the level of hotness your family can handle or save the packets for later and just use the base flavors. Flavorful, creamy, add a bottle of beer and you have the best and easiest chilli recipe!(Onion, red and green peppers, zucchini, can of corn, can of diced tomatoes, 2 cans of black beans and 2 cans of kidney, veggie broth, bottle of beer and SIX GUNS and you’re set!

Good Chilli mix

I fancy myself a good cook, but I'm not. I like chili and since I don't go by a specific recipe, it's never the same twice. This makes it easy and predictable. For those of you who know what you're doing when it comes to chili, good for you. For me this is a way to make the same repeatable (and tweakable) chili with great results.

I like this chili powder and the fact you can add whatever amount of heat/spice you want to it. I would buy again.
