My wife and I are doing a lot of traveling in our 1994 RV. As a "Mature" couple were finding getting into and out of the door of the RV was getting a little challenging. The small handle that came with the 30 year old RV worked "ok" getting into the the RV. But, was no help in getting out. After almost falling out the door a few times we realized that it was time to install something that would give us the stability that we need in the last chapter in our lives. This handle makes getting in and out of the RV a lot safer for us. The wide grip area and design gives us plenty of room to place our hands where we are able to the most stability. It is also side to side adjustable. By folding the handle against the door it provides a little added security in keeping the door closed while traveling. The quality is adequate for our needs and it seems to be durable enough to provide the length of time we are going to be traveling.

Easy to install! Our door jam, as I have seen in a couple of reviews is not solid at the bottom of the handle, gonna try and see if works with screws and silicone works, but may have to get creative if not. Will follow up if not.

This was very easy to install. I just held the new handle in place , marked right through the holes onto my camper with a a drill bit and marked all 4 locations. Then moved the handle and drilled the holes completely. After that, I installed the handle with the supplied fasteners. It only took 5 minutes. Product does a great job providing me a secure handhold while entering and especially exiting my camper

Mounting brackets are plastic and the screws are cheap and easily strip out.

If you're buying one of these, you probably already know that the mechanism can rust to the point where the spring and screw seize up.

The stock handle was terrible, only works when getting in the RV, not when leaving the RV. This fold-away handle solves that issue. Especially for kids. Install is easy, nerve racking of course since you have to drill into the RV. Used a stud finder on the inside of the RV to make sure you are actually drilling into wood and not just the siding. Also, make sure you put silicone or sealant in the holes and on the screws when you install it. Other than that, no issues and works great. Also, there was a video on youtube showing that if you are inside the RV and someone walks by and closes the handle, it would technically push open from the inside. Just something I found that might be useful for someone's curiosity.

We've got a 17' Hybrid camper and tradition handles are just too big. This is the perfect size for a smaller unit. Easy to install, easier to fold up/open up, and use.

I attached it to the outside of our house as a fold away grab bar. It make the only step into the house accessible. It is big enough to use from inside and outside the house. It nice it folds away for the snow remove in the winter.
