Good for the price
Overall, happy for the price. I wish there were more increments in the higher actuities (it goes from 2/100 to 20/63), and fewer in the lower (I don't use 20/22 or 20/ 33). I'll often place it at 3.6m and set it for 7.2m, then double the bottom number when recording the acuity to fill these voids, as it does go to 20/10. The remote is not as easy to use as the higher priced brands, and each acuity lines has set numbers. But it does the job, and set up for different distances is much easier than the higher priced brands I've used. Overall, works well for my traveling clinic.

Prompt Customer Service, Not Great Setup Instructions
The chart has some very nice features. The letter spacing could, and should, be a bit closer both vertically and horizontally, not that big a deal. Wall-mounting was a piece of cake. The biggest issue I had was that my exam room utilizes a mirror to extend the working distance to 20 ft. It appeared that this unit was not equipped to accommodate a mirror image, since nowhere in the instructions was there any indication of that capability. Before returning the unit I e-mailed the representative, who gave me a fix that there is NO possible way to intuit. For those in the same boat, you...get this...use the remote, press the 0.8-1.0 button on the yellow line repeatedly about 20 times. The chart suddenly rotates, then goes back to straight and then all of a sudden the acuity numbers on the margins go mirror image, voila! Really??Several months later: I have never written a review this negative, and I'm sorry to have to. One of the key advantages of a computerized chart is letter randomization, and this chart is horrible at it. First, the program uses only seven letters. Often, the same letter appears 2,3 and even 4 times on a line. Second, the lines comprising the letters are ALL squared off right angles. The patient often has difficulty discerning them when at or near threshold because they're not used to such a bizarre font. And last, the acuity levels are inadequate: 20/20,20/25,20/33,20/40,20/50,20/67(???),20/80, 20/100 and 20/200. I don't know if this is a mix with metric or whatever but this is just not adequate.Lastly, the red-green filter, which I love to use for fine-tuning an rx, is distorted. The red is very muted. In short, the chart presentations on this unit absolutely suck.
