Pretty cool
I've gotten a few of these before, and this is definitely the best one. The trigger racks the slide and fires the gun without having to manually load it every time which is awesome. It's one of the more solid feeling ones, I think it will hold up fairly well and feels a bit heavier in your hand. For the price, this has got to be the best one I've found so far. I know a kid would lose all the shells and bullets pretty quickly, but they are pretty universal and you can get more. I love the look of the glock and I think it's pretty fun to play with. I'm sure a kid would love it, just be warned you'll be finding those little red bullets all around the house.

Great Fun and Safe Learning
I'll try to keep this relatively short, but there's a lot to say about this item as there is a lot going on here. There are multiple small pieces associated with this item and projecting them through the air in two different directions, doesn't make them any easier to keep track of. If you're an adult and have gotten this for yourself, you might soon tire of having to retrieve all the bullets and casing and reassembling them. It is stupendously fun to be able to shoot not only the targets that come with this item, but other smalls one throughout the house as well. Once you've had your fun as I have, then it's time to move on to what this might be best suited for and that is safely teaching someone who hasn't ever handled a gun or at least a semi-automatic pistol. Doesn't matter whether they're young or old, if they need to learn this would be a great tool for that. They get experience loading the shells, loading the mag, changing from one mag to another and the ability to aim and shoot without fearing the big bang that comes with the real thing. That is what I think this might be best suited for. And when you get bored, pull it out and shoot some things inside. Not to be used around small children and or small pets in the house. Have fun.

Great, with 2 areas needing attention
First of all, this thing is awesome. We never had toys like this growing up. That being said, there are two things I noticed that I can shed light on that I didn’t remove any stars for.1) The description clearly states that you get 100 bullets, and 18 shells. I got 18 shells, and 50 bullets. Not a big deal, but that’s false advertisement.2) There should be a lot more shells. You get 18, reason being each magazine holds 6, 3 magazines, 18 shells right. Well I fired 2 rounds and already lost one shell. I was in my basement so I don’t plan on ever seeing it again, so be mindful of that. I think there could be extras supplied so you’re not missing rounds in any magazines. The action is smooth, tested the lock open feature and it does work. The 3 targets are nice and are made of metal. The bullet/shell design is really cool. The primer of the shell is a lead ball, connected to a spring which you depress when loading the bullet. Hammer hits lead ball, actuating the spring, sending the round flying. Really cool. The look of the gun is amazing, closely resembles a Glock 19. The magazine design is also very similar and I was surprised by it. The round size would be equivalent to a 45 ACP round in size.If you’re thinking about getting it grab it!

Every 12-Year-Old’s Dream, Every Adult’s 10-Minute Distraction
This thing is ingenious. You load plastic bullets into little shell casings, snap them into a mag, and fire—just like a real pistol (minus racking teh slide). It launches the projectile about 15–20 feet, cycles the slide, and ejects the “spent brass.” As a 12-year-old, this would’ve entertained me for weeks. As a grown-up? I was thrilled for about 10 minutes, until I realized I’d lost half the shells under the couch. That said, it’s impressively realistic and I agree with the review who stated it would be a great intro tool for safe firearms handling and training. It looks and functions like a G19, even though it’s labeled 18C. This toy feels solid, cycles well, and delivers exactly what it promises.PROs:(+) Realistic function—loads, shoots, and ejects like the real deal(+) Great tool for introductory firearms training or just plain fun(+) Solid build and clever designCONs:(–) Shells and projectiles have a magical ability to vanish into another dimensionVerdict:Five stars. It’s the kind of toy I would’ve given my left arm for as a kid—and now I just need a shell recovery team.

Dangerous for kids
throws the bullet while installing the gun. and Dangerous. Don't buy it for kids. Small bullets can be dangerous for eyes.

Very cool toy gun!
This is a really cool, realistic toy gun. It resembles the Glock 19 fairly well. At a glance, it looks the same! The toy looks great and has semi-automatic operation. You do NOT have to manually cock the gun or pull back the slide to make the toy fire, unlike other, similar types of toy guns. The shells eject upon firing, and they use these little red darts as bullets. Very cool.Because of the way the toy works, it can be used to teach children gun safety. It lacks a safety mechanism, and the slide cannot be manually engaged, making it somewhat difficult to clear jams.Honestly, for $25, this makes for a really cool gift for children, or something to mess around with the kids, or used as a desk fidget toy. I like it a lot.

Decent for Showing Basics, But Has Limitations
As a toy, it's great for anyone that doesn't automatically try to put small parts in their mouth. 5 stars. If you are using it for familiarity training, it's limited.I ordered this toy gun hoping to use it to introduce new shooters to how Glocks work. It does look mostly similar to a real Glock with the orange tip showing it's a toy. The magazines load like the real thing and the shells pop out when fired, which is somewhat helpful for demonstrations. The gun is way too light compared to a real firearm, which is a big drawback for training. The bullets need to be assembled into the shells, and both get lost really easily during use. I'm not convinced it's that effective for actually training anyone. It might show the basic motions, but you definitely won't mistake this for the real thing when handling it.
