The Halloween Ball (Sofia the First)

My girls (ages 3 and 6) have been in love with the new Sofia the First Series on Disney Junior since it came out. We were thrilled to see that they were starting to release some storybooks and we pre-ordered this book and several others (The Royal Slumber Party, Sofia Makes a Friend, Welcome to Royal Prep and The Perfect Tea Party) as soon as we could. They have all been big hits in our house."The Halloween Ball" is the first Halloween story from the Sofia the First series. It is about the King and Queen throwing a Halloween Ball for all of the royal children. The princes and princesses must create their own fancy costume for a costume contest. Sofia happily helps Amber with her peacock costume. She then makes her own fairy costume. When Amber sees Sofia's costume, she gets jealous and tries to make hers better, resulting in a big disaster. When Amber doesn't show up to the costume party, Sofia goes looking for her and ends up sharing her costume with Amber, making them twin sister fairies. There is a great happy ending with a nice message of sharing and helping others. The inside back cover of the book has a fitting "Princess Lesson" that states "A true princess shares what she has with others."Overall, this book has a great story with really nice artwork on high quality glossy paper. It has a nice happy ending and teaches a valuable lesson. It is a longer book that can develop into a more advanced reading book as your child's reading skills develop. It also comes with 25 shiny stickers of all the children in their costumes and other Halloween related decorations. The only negative about the book is that the front cover has a cutout showing one of the stickers and if you peel off that sticker, you have a big blank white space on the cover. That is a recent trend with some of these sticker books that I don't really like, but other than that, the book is great. As a parent, I appreciate how this book and TV Series has fun and positive storylines with great lessons for your children. This book makes a great addition to our storybook collection. Highly Recommended!

Our daughter is going to be Sofia for Halloween, so we surprised her with this book to go with her costume. She loves all things Sofia and this is no exception. It's a cute book and the stickers are a bonus!

With Sophia I always know my grand daughter is going to learn a good lesson.And this book is no exception. Sophia shares with Amber who usually is the "Bad Guy" butSophia is always there for her teaching that forgiveness is the kindest way to be.

Overall this is a cute book with a friendly story. I am not a huge fan of Sofia the first but my daughter likes it. I think the book is a bit bland (preferring splat the cat, berenstain Bears, curious George) but it does have a good message and the peacock dress is cute.

Love this book. We read it now each fall season. It came with nice stickers. We love Sofia and this is a really nice story.

I bought this for my niece and great niece for Halloween. It's so cute.The stickers in it made the book even more special. Both nieces haveread it and loved it.

My granddaughter was a very happy little girl when she received this book on her birthday. Her favorite character is Sofia and stickers too!I would definitely recommend this book to anyone loving Sofia.

Cute book for the Sofia fan in your house - won't win any children's book awards but teaches a nice lesson.

3歳の娘に読み聞かせるため購入しました。とてもいい内容でした。娘には1ページの英文がまだ少し多いかなと思いますが、絵も綺麗なので、娘が一人でもよくみています。ほぼ毎日読んでほしいと持ってきます。ソフィアのこのシリーズの本は他にも何冊か購入しましたが小学校くらいまでずっと長く使えそうなのでお気に入りです。大人でも簡単すぎず難しすぎず、ちょうど馴染みやすい本だと思います。
